Chuck's Bets 8-8-05

Well last weeks were unsuccessful due to isanami and red oog, but i will try again here today:

SR: Retail Therapy (win) x Bentley Biscuit (win)
SR: Doubloon (plc) x Johnny (win) x Kosi Bay (plc)
MR: Lilando (plc) x Grey's Inn (plc) x Sky Cuddle (plc)
MR: Queen of the Hill (plc) x Hugs Dancer (plc) x God's Own (plc) x Aqua D'Amore (plc)

tell me what you think

Raw Instinct 8th October 2005 07:40 AM

If he is right Lilando will win today very good horse who handles any conditions I just thing he has to much speed for this lot if right.

Chuck 8th October 2005 07:54 AM

worried about strikeline...beaten 3 len in a G1 last start behind Spark of Life and Our Egyptian Raine, before that won a G3 and i believe its an underrated mare which continues to be thereabouts in these sprints. Jas drawn ideally and has good record at distance 5-2-3 and track 10-3-4. Saying all that, Lilando is still the classier horse, i am just not that convinced that it will definitely beat strikeline

Raw Instinct 8th October 2005 08:09 AM

Fair enough mate I amnot a fan of Strikeline personally it is a horse that certainly doesn't like to win out of turn very consistent though just doesn't seem to quite have enough to beat the real good ones which I think Lilando is. But please don't let me change your mind.

You never really know how a returning bleeder will go first up. If Lilando repeats his previous first up effort (Lightning Stakes) he'd win this. Strikeline has a good record at 1000m and will appreciate the 28 day break. Danerich is also in with a chance with the fast tempo offsetting coming back from 1400m. Don't really like the race to bet on.

had a go at the Lilando-Strikeline exacta as well as the Grey's Inn-FOO exacta.

In the toorak i went 1,9,11/1,2,8,9,11/1,2,8,9,11... $10 is 13.3%

No Our Smoking Joe?

Chuck 8th October 2005 11:26 AM

no, it appears not.....:D

does look good though...

what is its highest class win?

Raw Instinct 8th October 2005 02:38 PM

Sounds like Lilando bled again shame but the last time we will see the horse here in Australia probably go to america now.

Chuck 8th October 2005 02:50 PM

awful to own a horse that has bled twice...my own bled once - horrible feeling

2 all ups are out the window

But hugs dancer paid $4.60 the place, and with Queen of the Hill winning that one still looks pretty good. The retail therapy/bentley biscuit paid around $3.80

Chuck 8th October 2005 04:47 PM

cheers mate i've got $80 on it....if aqua gets up it will pay around $25 too....

Sportz 8th October 2005 05:13 PM

So much for Our Smoking Joe, Chuck. You were right with that one. :D
I got the trifecta for a half. :)

God's Own and Aqua D'amore are both horses I've been waiting for. God's Own was BRILLIANT today, and I hope that Aqua D'Amore gets up too for both of us.

Raw Instinct 8th October 2005 05:18 PM

I thought that Deep in the Woods looked overs in the last but good luck to you guys.

Sportz 8th October 2005 05:20 PM

Bit worried with the track as it is.

Sportz 8th October 2005 05:23 PM

You beauty!!! You got your all-up, Chuck!

I backed Aqua D'amore each way, had Crimson Reign as a saver and I've got the trifecta as well.

Chuck 8th October 2005 05:23 PM

WOOHOO!!!

$80 @ $32.69 = $2615

Sportz 8th October 2005 05:25 PM

Who woulda thought you could get so much with 4 placings!!! Well done, Chuck. :)

I've had a GREAT day as well!!!

BORDI 8th October 2005 05:40 PM

hey chuck

was that a parlay you did? not quite sure how they work. what you mean $80 @ $32

Chuck 8th October 2005 05:45 PM

It was an all-up bet that paid $32.69, and i had $80 on it

Queen of the Hill 1st $1.70 (the place) x Hugs Dancer 3rd $4.60 x God's Own 1st $1.90 x Aqua D'Amore 2nd $2.20

$1.70 x $4.60 x $1.90 x $2.20 = $32.69

BORDI 8th October 2005 05:50 PM

yeh but how do u do all ups? and how does the cost work? is it like a parlay or what? i dont really understand the parlay costing system.

Chuck 8th October 2005 06:23 PM

you choose the amount - $1 gets the dividends times together, and all legs must get up for you to win. You can do all ups at most tabs

maverick1993 9th October 2005 12:38 PM

Super effort Chuck. well done :)
