Tough race this one depending on the track conditions tomorrow you could concievably give a chance to almost all the runners and that is usually the case with this race almost always a great betting race to finish off the carnival.

Big time Congrats to Carol Friedman nailing Valedictum the winner and in the process getting 57.70 points thats a good way to get yourself back into contention anyway hope for you sake you backed that one. Ok I am going to attach the file for Melbourne, Emirates Stakes and the overall results below.
Congrats to Mad still holding the lead after a very testing week must say the last day wasn't very kind in melbourne to many people but those who capitalised managed to makeup sonme much needed ground on the leaders especially Carol who I must say once again congrats mate that is a ripper of a result. |
Thanks for the kind words sportz I atleast feel a bit better now now I just have the punting to worry about I am certainly turning it way down for the next couple of months lost to much lately and I think it is interfering with my selections as to who i am going to back.

Steven King
I can be pretty quick to knock a jockey for a bad ride, but I can also appreciate a hoop who continually rides with great aplomb.
Steven King has had a great Spring, and yesterday he rounded out the Flemington carnival with a win on Valedictum in the Emirates Stakes. Ron Dufficey duly noted a couple of weeks ago on Racing Retro that from wide gates, King was the man for the job. King summed up the pace perfectly yesterday and was in no hurry to charge out and around the field until he absolutely had to. Great ride! I also noticed he won the Femington jockey challenge with Sportsbet, Anyone collect?, officially started @ $11. dundas lane ......... |
Thanks Raw Instict - I'm on a roll!
