I don't have any runners going around today and I have a fair bit of time on my hands today, so for the sake of a (small) bet today I thought I'd have a look at the enitre card at Geelong.

Looks to be a tough day today - considering the fields are pretty even and the weather being difficult.

Race 1 - 2 Giho (Win Only - small field)
Race 2 - 4 Aspendale (Win Only - small field)
Race 3 - 1 Consul's Cat (1 x 4)
Race 4 - 3 It's Ironic (1 x 2)
Race 5 - 1 Mr Gold Fire (1 x 2)
Race 6 - 4 Metro Gold (1 x 3)
Race 7 - 1 Desert Scribe (1 x 2)
Race 8 - 1 Prince Rappa (1 x 2)

Elsewhere:

Musw R4-14 Violent Reaction (1 x 2)
Musw R7-8 Namjah (1 x 2)
Mack R3-2 Lion Kingdom (1 x 2)

Not overly keen on the races today and really looking forward to Mid-week racing (Have a few going around tomorrow)

What do you know about the weather that I don't know?
Supertab site currently says weather fine, track good.
Just heard someone mumbling on the radio about a track inspection and he just said the rain is tumbling down.

Looking out my window - It's windy, its raining (heavy) and it is raing very heavily at Geelong as I type.....

......and Rick McIntosh at the track does not believe it's a 3 rating...... so i'd say slow.... for the first....

Interesting the late scratching of Paraburdoo.
One of his 2 wins came on a heavy trk at Hamilton.

Yep..... the felling in my waters was correct.... so far ;)

All selections null and void due to late scratchings and changing trk conditions.
Going to curl up on the couch and nap.

....... my $5 bets aren't hurting me.... but on the other hand they're not helping either..... It's Ironic is gotta be an omen then.... :D

Figure if I can get to the last leg, there is always a chance of saving the stake by taking an exotic of some sort with the quadrella selection in for 2nd.

It was a calculated risk that was not far astray.

Well I guess you went to sleep as well Stix.
Salvaged something at the end of the day with a $9-00 trifecta for a return of $93-80. 9/1-6-8/1-4-6-8.
$9-00 on the nose would have returned $53-00. so the value in a field with little depth was good.
