Aus vs Bangladesh 1st test

Aussies 1-233 after 50 overs.....wait hold on, thats BANGLADESH 1-233 AFTER 50 OVERS!

yes its true.....

i'll bet Murali's having a good giggle right about now! :D

Sportz 9th April 2006 05:40 PM

Yeah, what a disgrace. Surely they couldn't actually LOSE this game???

discipline pays 9th April 2006 10:43 PM

bet you would be happy if you took the 1.07 on offer !!!

Sportz 10th April 2006 11:44 AM

Well, they're paying $1.72 now. I never would have thought it was possible to get $1.72 about Australia against Bangladesh on day 2 unless the first day had been totally washed out or something. Bangladesh are $11. Surely not!

This shows what happens when you're complacent. After all, they'd just finished a tough series in SA a few days before, they had only been in Bangladesh for a couple of days and had very little practice. Hardly a perfect preparation, but they obviously agreed to all that beforehand, because they thought that it's only Bangladesh and all they have to do is turn up to win.

Sportz 10th April 2006 04:25 PM

This makes for interesting reading, doesn't it?

Warne 20 overs 0-112 (econ rate 5.59)
MacGill 33.3 overs 8-108 (econ rate 3.22)

Not a huge surprise to me.

Mofo 10th April 2006 05:49 PM

It's a terrible track. How low and inconsistant is the bounce?

With runs on the board I think Bangladesh may actually win this.

Sportz 10th April 2006 06:08 PM

Yeah. Ponting got one that almost rolled along the ground. Australia now 3-50!!! I can't believe this.

Chuck 10th April 2006 06:11 PM

i had a bit of cash on the $11, just thinking what might happen, and it is great odds now!

Sportz 10th April 2006 06:51 PM

It's looking VERY good!

Sportz 10th April 2006 07:23 PM

5-79!!!

Chuck 11th April 2006 07:24 AM

saviours gilly and lee have taken us to 6-146..still 281 runs short of the worst test cricket team in the world

Chuck 11th April 2006 07:27 AM

i think the selectors under a new chairman will have a total reshape before tha ashes starts.... hard to see the likes of hayden, langer, martyn, gillespie etc. being there.....weed the old ones old slowly...

Sportz 11th April 2006 03:17 PM

Okay, Gilchrist and Gillespie bringing a little bit of sanity back to the situation now. Still 201 behind though.

Mofo 12th April 2006 08:22 PM

Australia looking good now. Should be easy peasy from here.

I figured yr bets were good at the time - not now though. I would say bad luck, but you were betting against Australia ;)

I don't know about that. It's 4-212. They still need 95 runs and there's only the bowlers left after these two.

Mofo 12th April 2006 09:45 PM

Easy Peasy.

You can quote me on that sportz ;)

Mofo 12th April 2006 09:51 PM

Actually it was only 3fer when I made the original statement, but still - it should be ok from here.

Sportz 13th April 2006 01:21 PM

5-225 now. It's down to Ponting and the bowlers!!! If we lose this game, I can just imagine the headlines.

Sportz 13th April 2006 02:56 PM

30 runs to get. 3 wickets left!!!

Chuck 13th April 2006 03:01 PM

and they just dropped ponting....

goldmember 13th April 2006 03:02 PM

sportz, i've been watching it but keep falling asleep, over 400 DOT balls

goldmember 13th April 2006 03:05 PM

Lunch , still 17 runs to go, thank god it will eventually be all over soon, i think?

rabbitz 13th April 2006 03:21 PM

17 runs to go and they've gone to lunch, how stupid is that, why not finish it off then have a feed, looks like they should get there though
cheers

Sportz 13th April 2006 04:09 PM

Well, they got there in the end, but boy was that a struggle!!!
