New Sire Star: Viscount?

After watching Amitola win SR6 today($3.8w1.4plNSW) are we witnessing the beginning of a new dynasty in racing about to unfold?
That is, the progeny of the well performed racehorse: Viscount.
This 3YO filly certainly won well against moderate midweek company but some good judges suggest that this sire might produce runners which may win over distances equal to or beyond today's race of 1400m.
We will have to wait and see but the astute punter should remain alert to future runners sired by this well-credentialled runner!
By doing so they may secure good odds about future runners.
The sire was very, very good and it appears he "throws" good offspring, accordingly, I, personally, will remain vigilant to any future runner sired by this potential star.

Cheers.

Raw Instinct 29th August 2006 05:25 PM

He was an extremely good horse when he raced and was also a very nice horse to look at and he is passing that on to his progeny I have been taking note of his runners another I can't wait to see is Delago Broms progeny hope some of them can come out with the talent in which there father possesed.

xanadu 29th August 2006 05:34 PM

Yeah,

Good point Raw, I suppose the edict of: good racehorse/good sire doesn't always prove true but some "smart" people suggest that this sire(Viscount) may be the real deal, especially with his 3YO's.
I certainly will be watching/evaluating with great interest in the next few months to see how things unfold......hopefully with a profit!
Similarly, I will monitor how the Delago Brom's perform.

Cheers.

xanadu 20th January 2007 03:56 PM

Since my last post on this subject I have been monitoring the performances of this sire and so far, based on his results, I feel that a very bright future may await this former topline galloper as a potential star sire.
Today:
SR1 4 Royal Lineup completed it's second win in it's only two starts:$1.6w$1.2plNSW and there may be more to come!
I believe that Viscount's progeny may present many profitable opportunities into the future by following all of it's runners at all venues.

Cheers.

The sire Viscount has one runner at Rosehill tomorrow:
SR2 5 Ruling Power, to be ridden by D. Beadman

Good Luck!

Distance looks ideal tomorrow. 3rd run back should be primed!

xanadu 2nd February 2007 06:43 PM

Yeah,

I agree, give it strength!

Good Luck!

Horse Whisperer 2nd February 2007 07:06 PM

I love when you find a sire you can follow in the 2yo and 3yo races. I like following Show a heart horses. Had some good collects on them to, and some are really starting to perform at the top level.

xanadu 2nd February 2007 07:17 PM

Yeah,

Good point HORSE WHISPERER, he is a promising sire and we will have to monitor his progress, however, it appears that so far, Viscount's 3YO crop are the potential topliners but we will have to be patient and evaluate his progeny's performances over the next racing season.
Although, the "smart" punter" should find many profitable opportunities in the meantime.

Cheers.

xanadu 3rd February 2007 01:40 PM

SR2 5 Ruling Power 2nd $2.0plNSW,
the son of Viscount lost no admirers with his powerful fighting run to the line just unable to catch the winner. He displayed all the qualities of his sire and should continue to run well.
Keep your eye out for other progeny of Viscount because he appears to have passed on the admirable qualities that he showed as a high class racehorse.

Cheers.

xanadu 18th February 2007 12:41 PM

Some of the progeny of Viscount have been performing well recently and others have performed below par:
10.2.07 SR3 Royal Lineup 4th a bit disappointing and it may have "gone over the top" and may be in need of a spell. I'm sure his trainer, J.Hawkes will make the right decision.
17.2.07:
MR2 1 Aprisa unpl very disappointing as it had won it's two previous starts,
SR9 12 Miss Pageantry WON $5.5w$2.0plNSW recouped our money and there may be more wins to come.
With the carnivals in both NSW and Victoria well under way there could be some excellent performances in store for the progeny of this potential star sire - my advice is to follow any of his runners at any venue.

Cheers.

Thurs 15.3.07
Hawkesbury:
SR2 8 Ruling Power WON $1.8w$1.2plNSW
and Viscount has another good chance running in the Todman Stakes:
SR6 5 Warhead
we'll see how it goes.

Cheers.
3:14p.m.AEDT I was a little disappointed with Warhead's run but maybe the conditions were against it and we must realise that it was only it's second race start so there is probably plenty of room for improvement. Also, it was running behind the three front-runners and was probably copping plenty of clods of mud and this, with his inexperience, probably contributed to it's defeat(not suggesting he would have beaten the place-getters).

good info on the thread. where is viscount held? would like to see if he has babies heading to the states.

one sire that has been making a silent impact here and down under is MORE THAN READY. real quick learners.

xanadu 5th April 2007 12:06 PM

He stands at Woodlands Stud in the Hunter Valley approx 100 miles north of Sydney.
His 2YO & 3YO's are going well and this year's crop should also be successful when they begin racing.

Cheers.
