Ok first thread screwed up for some reason

This is based on winners that win well.

Rules:
1. Must have won by at least 3.5 lengths last start
2. Must be running on the same track condition today ( soft last start and soft today).

Thats it.

Selections : 1102
Win $ : 1179
Winners : 279

This is an easy systm that follows KISS principles. Adding extra filters to this does it improve it immensly but I can't give you everything

Must have run within the past 21 days?

Ok here are few

... WIN % >= 20%
... UnitTab Rating >= 96
... has a 'C' beside its name
... has a 'D' beside its name
... Same Jockey

and oaksnaf's is correct but drop it down to 14 days, 21 days usually means they pulled up sore after the win (unless its a 1800+ distance, then they just need the rest ).

They all increase the results significantly.

A combination of factors might reduce bets, increase strike rate

Even a quick look at Thursday with a tweak just using the following;

win > 3.5 lengths
win % > 30%

Could have included (same jockey and conditions similar ...??Mr Gold Fire racing from dead to slow, but won 2 previous on heavy) but would have arrived at same selections

2 bets
Morn R5 4 Stanzout W 6.40 2.40 unitab
Ballina R7 1 Mr Gold Fire W 3.50 1.60 unitab

no selections Friday Sale R6 4 Haka Brave has low 14% win percentage

Interesting to see how your filters alter your results

Do you get many bets using all those filters ?
Can you run the following please?
won last start by >3.5L
win s/r >20%
Has a "c" or a "d"
last start within 14 days

Returns approx 93%.

Add same condition as last race and it increases to :

Increases it to 101%.

Try thinking outside the box ....

What are the results using all of these?

OK here are a couple for you

I modifed Win % to be slightly better ...

WIN % >= 30% = 116%
has a 'C' beside its name = 135%
has a 'D' beside its name = 109%
UnitTab Rating >= 96 = 104%

Placing is showing approx 93% return .. so showing a loss overall.

EMERGENCE - Murtoa Race 3 - Won by 6 last outing
JUST PEACHES - Gold Coast Race 5 - won by 3.8 last outing.

The placings were ($ based on best odds)

LACHINO - WIN $5.50 / $3.00
EMERGENCE - WIN $2.90 / $2.60
JUST PEACHES - 3rd $2.00

So can i asume the % are better with same jockey?

Also what are numbers like when you use the same rules for all last start winners?

Yes significantly better.


They show a loss of around 10%.
