The pick 4 on my U.S. TAB has a good carryover again. I had 3 of 4 yesterday, with my and everyone else's "unbeatable" pick in the 1st race running 2nd.(no such thing as an unbeatable horse) Anyway, if you or others have any good insight as to wimnners at Canterbury races 1-4, post here, ot if confidential, email me at Gleter@ cox.net. There is always the Beadman factor to consider to make it more interesting. So far I see it thus: R1 1,2,4, R2 1,2,5. R3 1,5 R4 3,6,9. There, my picks should make it more entertaining and funnier. It's 04:32 A.M. Sydney time as I type these words, and I hope everyone is sleeping well. It's amazing how much Australian racing information is available at such an ungodly hour.

My thanks to all who responded. I took a 2 pronged approach, one almost singling the 1st 3 races, then 7 runners in the 4th. Then I took the one runner I liked in the 4th and went backwards with multiples in race 1 ,2 and 3. Still I only spent about $40 on it.

Hmmm, don't know about that. Some of the races look really tough. Not sure how the ratings will go today.

Well, did you get the pick4, Glenn? Given the results, it shouldn't have been too hard to get. Don't suppose it would have paid much though.

No, Sportz, I managed to beat myself out of it. I bet $40. $7 more would have nailed it. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. I thought the 4th race was really tough, but it was as simple as "Gai Waterhouse".

It paid $572.40. ($2 ticket)

Geez, nice dividend!!!

I didn't think the 4th race was all that tough really. Outside of the ones I had at the top of the ratings, the only one I would have been scared of was number 8 and that was purely because Beadman was on it.

Radio TAB Tips would of gave it to you.... ;)

I guess I blew it. I look at the Radiotab picks everyday. Of course, using all 3 of their picks in the 4 races would cost $162. (or $81 for a $1 ticket) Certainly worth it as it turned out.

Well, the pick4 pool rebuilt, so I'm playing it at Caulfield tonight. I had the 1st 3 races, now I need Miss Andretti to win R4. Looks good, but favorites lose all the time....

Well, Bingo, as we say here in Oklahoma. All winners kind of chalky tonight. I'll post my dividend as soon as it is official, and our final results are much slower than in Oz. I have a $1 ticket, spent a measly $9. I used triples in 2 races and singles in races 2 and 4. Over $1,000 extra in the pool tonight that others put there for me..

The divie is $494.10, of which I get 1/2 for my $1 ticket, so thats $247 returned for a $9 bet. Not bad.
