Observers READ!!

I am starting to notice a growing number of observers on this part of the site (No problem with it). Like right now i am the only member along with 44 guests.

Guys and girls, it takes 2 minutes to sign up. Do so then get involved. It would be good to hear a different pont of view or see a new tips thread, you may have missed the boat with the glory comps that are run but be sure there is another just around the corner to get involved with.

LETS SEE SOME NEW NAMES????

crash 8th March 2007 04:12 PM

The lurkers are just here for the tips.

Chiquita 8th March 2007 04:29 PM

Fairly tight restrictions to register now may preclude some from joining. Interestingly if you have a recognised ISP (eg. bigpond) account, you can have multiple mail boxes and thus register a number of times using different User names, and happily chat to yourself ;)

Chrome Prince 8th March 2007 04:38 PM

The other night I posted something at 2am and noticed there were 100 guests browsing the forum.

I agree guys - get involved ;)

Sportz 8th March 2007 05:17 PM

Yeah, had a look just now and there were 2 members and 133 guests!!!

But if you have a look at what they're reading, it's often quite strange really. One of the guests just now was looking at a thread about the 2nd Ashes Test from 2005. What the...?

Perhaps a few 'virtual' guests amongst the batch to make business look good LOL

Chrome Prince 8th March 2007 05:26 PM

On the other hand the majority are probably registered users who don't log in until they want to post something.

Reply to Crash and all the others who commented. Yes Crash I guess I am a lurker but I am new to racing and still learning. I read all your comments and tips and then go and see how they run. I also read about ratings from you guys and I have done a google search and have learned about ratings which I did not know before. As I said I am just new to horse racing......your racing language is new to someone not used to the jargon....and I would be embarrassed to keep asking you guys to explain something. Soooooo, give us a break....we are very interested us 'lurkers' and we will have input, well I will.....when I bring myself up to speed with racing and do not feel like such a rank amateur. In the meantime I love getting your tips and seeing how they pan out. Thankyou for a very interesting site. (smiles)

no such thing as a stupid question ;)

how are you going to learn if u don't ask?

Raw Instinct 8th March 2007 08:50 PM

Man if I had one bit of advise for any of these so called lurkers please stay away from my tips they are woeful :)

It would be great to here from some new guys around here and quite honestly I for one am certainly not ************ when it comes to racing I love having a punt and I love some of the horses right now that favourite distinction would settle with Apache Cat but there are others.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions guys not everyone here might even know the answer but I am sure anyone of us would only be to happy to help out.

Rhystan 8th March 2007 08:57 PM

So very nice of both of you and thankyou. I kinda figured you guys were there to chat not be an answering service so thankyou.

We are just a bunch of racing tragics.

Spartacus 10th March 2007 01:03 AM

"they're racing...." (i think my heartrate just went up to 150)

"Northerly goes around Freemason in the back straight and takes up the running..."(175)

"Northerly rounds the turn in the Caulfield Cup..." (200)

"He pins back the ears as he responds to the roars of the crowd..." (225)

"Here comes Fields of Omagh, but it's Northerly..."
(I think i've busted my boiler honey)
yep, pretty tragic - but PRETTY GOOD !
