wooden Spoons NRL/AFL

Football Wooden spoons

I have a sneaky feeling both my teams Lions and Rabbitohs are going to collect Wooden Spoons this year

in the NRL the rabbitohs are only 2 points off the bottom and finding it hard to win
in the AFL the Lions are not playing inspiring football and finding it hard to win..They are 16 points (4 wins ahead of Richmond)They..Richmond are playing decent football but are just losing
So the Question is..is it possible richmond can win 5 0r 6 games in the second half of the season..is it possible that the Lions will lose their remaining games
Richmond are currently $1.10 and lions $14
Nrl betting for spoon is unknown (suspended) but you'd think souths would have shortened up to about $4 maybe just behind the dragons

Any comments?

Cheers

i backed the Warriors pre season to win the spoon @ $34 and they are one win off the bottom

betfair has rabbits at $5.10 behind dragons $3.30 and panthers $4.70

at this stage i don't mind the raiders at $8.20 or the roosters @ $5.30

sportzfan 18th June 2007 07:33 PM

Carlton @ 20/1 Melbourne @ 11/1
Dragons @ 3/1 Warriors @ 10/1

headsNtails 19th June 2007 03:20 AM

AFL - Richmond
NRL - Roosters

rabbitz 19th June 2007 03:21 PM

AFL-Richmond $1.10
-Lions $14.00

NRL-Souths $7.00

Double Richmond -Souths $7.70
Lions -Souths $98.00

Now if i back both my luck will cause both bets to lose and then I'll be happy anyway :D

rabbitz 4th July 2007 09:33 AM

Richmond & Panthers

westi 10th August 2007 09:23 PM

Well how about that! Richmond win their 2nd match of the season. Very interesting if Melbourne were to lose this weekend.

bagwon 11th August 2007 11:48 AM

well done tigers! as for the pies how often have we seen it. great start poor finish.

well the Dees finally put one together
with only 3 rounds to go it's Richmond's spoon
bit more open NRL going for the Knights

westman 13th August 2007 12:51 PM

Shocking couple of weeks for the Knights!

westi 22nd August 2007 08:36 AM

Certainly no wooden spoon for the bunnies this year! And still in finals contention after beating Manly earlier this week.

dont you love it when your judgement is wrong
instead of both teams getting the wooden spoon ..they'll probably now win both premierships :D..Who would have thought

westman 11th September 2007 07:47 AM

..and the winners...Panthers & Richmond

Chiquita 11th September 2007 05:24 PM

Richmond a better team than their last placing suggests imo

Interestingly the Panthers last held the wooden spoon back in 2001.
Two years later they were both Minor Premiers & Premiers!

westman 12th September 2007 08:08 PM

Interesting observation Chiquita, might back them to make final 8 in 2008 [assuming an upward trend]
