Blimey.Its pitiful.

The number of no hopers running around today.

Most of them would be hunted from the Knackery come Monday Morning.

Never the less I shall go for

R.Wick Race 8 Horses 2 - 4 - 5 - 7 - 8 ( minimum $6.00 )

Cheers.

Good luck.

Clag factory runners everywhere!

darkydog2002 15th July 2007 12:50 PM

And 4 half wit races ( jumps ) at Casterton.

What are these racing officials playing at ?
Confirms my belief that the lunatics are running the show these days.

On a more positive note I believe that Mornington gives one a chance at a good collect

Race 8 Horses 1 - 6 - 10 - 13 - 15 - 18 ( minimum $7.00 )

Cheers.

darkydog,
That looks like a good system you have there, whats it called-------LOTTO?????lol.

Did you notice that the 4 half wit races were all won by the 1st or 2nd fav.

Cheers.

crash 15th July 2007 05:45 PM

Geez, I was so depressed after yesterday's racing I whacked $60 bucks into my TAB account to follow the chariots and dogs last night [dart method] and ended up winning $166. Must have been the Wild Turkey throwing the darts!

darkydog2002 15th July 2007 05:48 PM

Hi Ken.
Long time no hear.I thought you were barred.Mind you Peter Pan sounds like a good "Non de Plume"

Yes the halfwit races were won by 1st /2nd favs ( crap value) for the risks involved.
But then there used to be a joker on here that bet odds on favs for a Place. As I recall he went from betting to profit $10 a race and 3 weeks later was raving on about betting to profit $1000 a race.
But then ya cant believe everything.

The way I bet suits me admirably and as the members on here can testify I dont lose too many.

Cheers.

Jeez you wouldnt WANT to lose too many betting 5 or 6 horses per race.
If you bet 6 in a race and get a $7 winner you are working to 6 to 1 on, can't have to many losing races with those odds.
Think I'll stick to betting 1st or 2nd fav, even in the half wit races.
By the way have you ever done any research into favoured horses winning in hurdles, you might get a shock.
Similar to the garbage usually bandered around about maiden races, more favoured horses win than people would believe.
By the way my name is not Ken???????????

Cheers.

darkydog2002 15th July 2007 07:47 PM

Hi Peter Pan.

Yes the losing runs are very few.

I note your comment re only getting a Max of $7.00.

Fortunately most of the winners are well above that figure.

I dont put any price ceiling on a maximum price ( I used to do that but was forever kicking myself when a better than my max price cutoff point got up) which was very frequently.

My apologies for mixing your name up with another fellow but the content and context are very similar.

Cheers.

peterpan 15th July 2007 08:35 PM

darkydog,

I think you misread what I posted, as I never said maximum $7 winner, I just used that as a figure.
So if you get a $12 winner you are getting even money, if you get a $18 winner you are getting 2/1.
If it works good luck to you but I really don't believe there are enough $12 or $18 winners around to make up for the ones you miss as per today.

Cheers.

Peter Pan

Yes but I have six bites of the cherry not 1.

Longshots get up every day of the week .The key is knowing which races to bet on.

No 3 got up today at $41.73 in my selected race ( IAS Super price)Unfortunately I wasn,t on it as I like them to have at least 2 runs in.

Those are the breaks.

Cheers.

Nothing today Peter P ( as I like a minimum 5 horses to bet on in my selected race) so cant give you a leg up.

However you might like to consider Geelong Race 8 horses 3 - 5 - 6 ( at a minimum $4.00).

How you bet them is optional but dont disregard the minimum price stipulation. Its there for a purpose.

I just backed BROUGH SUPERIOR in the previous at Geelong and got $3.3 with a corporate.
I was a bit worried about OUR LOTTO though as I am sure it it would have been one of your horses.

Sorry just couldn't help myself.

Cheers

Chrome Prince 16th July 2007 04:46 PM

Peter Pan,

I layed Brough Superior @ $2.80 and lost.
The point I'm making however, is that there is a huge amount of mug money on the exchanges at the moment.

I cannot believe that people are accepting worse than course bookies odds regularly and are offering up to 100% overlays on favourites often.

I put back and lay bets on at the same time, and it's amazing the number of times I have horses running for no risk profit.

It's all about the fluctuating movements, not the final matched price ;)

P.S. Tabcorp price was $2.70 Unitab price was $2.80, oncourse bookies was $2.90

They took the worst possible price with me.

darkydog2002 16th July 2007 04:57 PM

Ah peter P Our lotto was certainly one I marked down.

Good to see you won and you must agree $3.30 is a lot better than $1.50.

Gees your writing style reminds me of a drop kick that was barred from this site.Thank God we dont have to put up with him anymore. I understand he moved to another site but offered nothing constructive there either.

Cheers and happy punting tomorrow.

Chrome Prince,

I believe sites cannot be posted on this forum, but if you want the corporate I got that price with, just post your email and I will send it to you.
I regularly get 1/2 a point better than other corporates.
I run 3 corporate accounts and 2 tab accounts but I find the shorties are usually better with the one I got the 3.3 with today.
You have to be on the ball and jump on when prices are offered but its very worthwhile.

darkydog,

I don't know what bee you have in your bonnet, or where you are coming from but obviously you can't take a bit of fun so I will refrain from posting on any of your threads in future.

Cheers.

My apologies If I offended Peter.

Had a rough day yesterday with Centre Link.
