With all due respect Xanadu....
picking the jockey is not the same as picking the winning horse.
Good luck to you though for plucking the multis. I want to know if anyone on the various forums tipped the winner ? Gerry |
Gerry,
Drawing board for sale - best offer, mancunian |
my son picked the winner only because he doesnt follow racing and thought the the name sounded cool :) gets a nice cricket bat now ,,(and also the dreaded gambling bug for life)

The quote of the day goes to Greg Miles calling the Melbourne Cup just before the home turn....
"And further back to Efficient feeling the pinch..." :D |

i think early on in his preparation many people would have. early on he was solo favourite and i know my dad was one who was singing his praises saying he couldn't get beat. personally i gave him a little thought but not much and definitely didnt think hed win today.
with every run in his preparation he just looked flatter and slower. i think it was the same with maybe better, both just plodded along in the turnbulls and the coxs and the mackinnon. what would he have done had it not been a late scratching??????? would it have been in the same boat? |
lol where i was i couldnt really hear the call and at first i thought it was zipping. oh well...
|
Yeah, I'd have picked him in August and September. But today........ nope. :(
