Punting For Fun Betting System

Here's a fun way to bet. Of course, just with money you are prepared to use as entertainment expenses.

You bet r1 no 1, r2 no 2, r3 no 3 all the way down the program. Last Saturday at Sandown we hit r5 no 5 Larry's Never Late which won starting at $11.00.

Of course you can introduce some elimination rules which will really tighten up this betting system. It's a great way to bet ForFun. Of course, just with money you've set aside to use for entertainment expenses with this system otherwise it's no longer fun.

Or you could get a bunch of small blank cards and write a number from 1 to 24 on each.
Then when a race is coming up, get the appropriate number of cards and shuffle them and pick one out.
You then lose your money on the Horse with that number.

The beauty of this system, is if you don't like that horse, change by losing your money on the barrier number instead.

LOSING is NEVER "FUN"

Your a bit harsh there Moeee. Bring in the right elimination rules and you'll be on r1 no 1 every time it is a great chance, similarly with r2 no2, r3 no3, r8 no8 I reckon. I reckon we could end up with a system that does ok. And its Punting For Fun!!

Hi Marcus,
Its got more logic than most of the Commercial betting systems that people pay up to $250 for.
What one needs to do is grab a headline like
"Bank $300 betting 3 % profit $162,000 longest run of outs 7.
Ho Ho.

You could add Plan B to it.
R 1 H 1 won LS
R2 H 2 ran 2nd LS
R 3 H 3 Ran 3rd LS
etc etc.

Cheers and in fun .

One could also include the "Specials"
Must have Letter "R" in its name.

An apt name might be "Goblins Wishing Well"

The ONLY way it can be FUN is by not actually placing the bets, but just use Pretend Money.
But then its not PUNTING

If Losing money at Gambling is considered FUN, then your definition of FUN is different to mine.

Try this.
Muslims go to parties and celebrations and barbecues without any alcohol present, yet they have FUN.
Non-Muslims can also try it, and probably find that it actually is FUN.

Take out the PUNTING Part of your Race by Race System and THEN it becomes FUN.
By Punting in that way, all you are doing is donating 15% of your Investments to someone who probably needs it a lot less than what you do.

Only 1 "Special" today and 1st up.
Ballina R 1 H 1 = CouRt Success.

Mind you its asessed @200/1 but we wont let that worry us eh.
As my old mate AH CHOO reckons "Win Win Win with Ah choo."
I feel like a visit to Corindi to visit my old mates.

Your missing the point Moeee. Unless someone has a gambling issue and loses money they can't afford to lose most of us treat punting as entertainment and fun. We choose to bet on the races and with any other associated expenses like form guides or going to the track, having a meal there etc for entertainment. It's fun if we can win. But it's fun anyway - win or lose. We use money we've put aside for entertainment.

So my betting system idea is precsely that - Punting For Fun.

By the way, here's a little quick pick system I love. In a handicap back the top weight if it is a last start winner in its current campaign and you can get good odds about it. Makes sense too. We've got a horse in form which the handicapper reckons is the best horse in the field, that's why its been given the top weight. Scouse at Morphettville won on Saturday - $22.70.

Of course everyone wants to take their betting seriously but i understand what your on about here Marcus,a dollar or two here and there while you wait for your other bets to roll around makes sense to me.

You would have had a decent day with this approach,i looked at a couple of variations-

#race number, tab number and last start finishing position all the same reduced the bets to just three for a $5.90 winner.

#another idea could be to look for horses whose tab number and last start finishing position add up to the race number.

a couple of examples-

Ballina race 4 -horse 9 -last start position 5th = $7.40

or

Ballina race 7 - horse 3 - last start 4th =$13.10

Cheers.

What about:

TAB number + Race number has to equal its barrier draw?

Ballin R2 - $32 Unitab...........

Im on the gravy train, woohoo!
