Laying the ladies
 

Let's lay all the rides of these three jockey's over the next couple of weeks. For want of nothing better we'll use Maria staking but we'll set the ceiling at 9.6 instead of 11. Normally I'd not lay a first starter or a resuming (60 day) horse. I'll mention that now but will include them in any results. I'll use the Betfair SP price in results.

This is just a bit of fun and could go nowhere. I won't be updating this daily. I suspect we'll find a tipping point (maybe around 5.3) where below that, they aren't worth laying.

Jessica Valas

Weird or What,

Mr Shatner,
They keep their stage name like actors, because they are "known as".
Sometimes they are hyphenated, but usually they stick to their maiden name.
Even more interesting is that in the trotting game so many are related to one another in some natural or in-law capacity.
It's rife, they all seem to marry like actors.

Two of our jockeys go up against each other at Bordertown today. I feel a winner coming on. Bit worried about adding the extra rider as its never a good thing to change your test while its running.

Bordertown R1. There's something you don't see every day. Who's the odd man out?
