Just keep backing up on Great Britain to beat Australia in the gold medal tally, Great Britain to win 22+ gold medals, Australia to win less than 15 gold medals and if you can find odds on Great Britain beating Russia to take 3rd place on the gold medal tally, take that as well.

..wonder how close yohan blake will get..could push bolt

Cycling road race - Mark Cavendish at about $3.75

They've set this course up so that it suits him down to the ground. They're pinning their hopes on him and it's hard to see him being beaten.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he won. If they have betting on just getting a medal, think I'd definitely be taking him.

jake 12th April 2012 09:43 PM

..kookaburras had a few injury problems last year but look to be back on track at the right time

Sands 14th April 2012 06:46 PM

Would you believe that the Italian Olympic Committee is the most generous of any nation that finished in the top 10 at the Beijing Olympics, promising its gold medalists £116,000, although they will have to pay tax on that.

jake 15th April 2012 12:41 AM

mens volleyball gold medal..brazil..$1.75 x2..russia..$4 x1

Russia is the next most generous nation paying its Olympic gold medalists around £86,000

the consensus looks to be between 16-22 gold medals for gb so 22+ certainly achievable on home turf

kiwiz 17th April 2012 05:39 PM

Liu Xiang will beat Dayron Robles to 110m hurdle gold

kiwiz 21st April 2012 04:02 AM

Women's Shot Put Gold
Taking Valerie Kasanita Adams ;)

kiwiz 22nd April 2012 04:38 AM

Lin Dan (China) to take Badminton Men's singles gold

kiwiz 22nd April 2012 04:46 AM

Li Xuerui (China) to take Badminton Women's singles gold

kiwiz 29th April 2012 05:36 AM

Unfortunately defending Olympics champion Tom Ashley won't be in London to defend his Men's Sailboard crown
Jon Paul Tobin has gained selection for NZ over Ashley
Will be tough but Tobin more than capable on his day
A genuine medal contender

Agree, very strong chance to take Britain's first gold
Has been making the most of home advantage by secretly testing out the road race course
Works for him!

In a purple patch since Ric Charlesworth took over, Olympic Gold VERY achievable!

Sands 10th May 2012 10:03 PM

Things starting to warm up
The Olympic flame has been lit in Ancient Olympia in Greece, signaling the final countdown to the start of the 2012 London Games!

Sands 13th May 2012 07:17 AM

Interesting draw for the Men's water polo
Most of the big guns have drawn Group B whilst the Aussies have drawn Group A
With a bit of luck The Sharks should at least qualify for the Quarter Final Round

can Cavendish get the daily double? tour de france & olympic gold
not much of a break between events!

Sands 16th May 2012 05:56 PM

Huge odds available, Cavendish to finish in top 3, Tour de France!

MyHatMyCoat 17th May 2012 01:04 AM

That would be his odds for the General classification comp (yellow jersey). Cavendish will be looking to win the Points classification comp (green jersey) which he won last year.

At one stage Cavendish was contemplating an early exit from the Tour de France. But I think he intends completing his full schedule now.
