Another Snippet of Interest?

I've been looking at another neural Place method which over the past three days hasn't performed too badly.

1) CP and CF categories on a setting of 3, all others on zero.
2) $2.50 and less in the resulting neural market.
3) Must be placed at last start.

The results for the three days of Place betting $1 on QLD TAB for each selection are:

Saturday:
Bet $22
Return $22.20

Sunday
Bet $15
Return $18.90

Monday
Bet $15
Return $16.60

There have been 52 selections for 35 placegetters for a return of $57.70 which is a 10% POT.

On Win betting there were 16 winners for a return of $51.60. This is a loss of $0.40 which would most likely be a profit on Betfair.

I should have time tomorrow, and if so will list the selections.

I've had problems getting into the R&S website so I haven't been able to identify the selections, until now.

So far there's been 10 selections already run for 4 winners for a return of $9.90, and 8 placegetters for a return of $12.50.

Still to be run:

Ascot
6/2

Gold Coast
6/7

Mornington
7/9

Hanging Rock
6/2

Morphetville
6/7

I see that there is continued interest on the forum about betting short-priced faves to Place.

So I will continue the Place system as outlined in the first posting on this thread.

There's been four days of looking at the system and the results are:

Sat - 14 placegetters from 22 selections for a profit of $0.203.60.
Sun - 12 placegetters from 15 selections for a profit of $3.90
Mon - 9 placegetters from 15 selections for a profit of $1.60.
Tues - 10 placegetters from 14 selections for a profit of $2.70.

Total - 45 placegetters from 66 selections for a strike rate of 68% and a POT of 10%. And also what might be promising is that from the four days there has not yet been a losing one.

Today's selections:

Dombeen
2/1
7/6

Launceston
1/5
5/7
8/5
9/5

Murray Bridge
1/3
6/13

Newcastle

Sale
2/4
3/1
8/4

Narrogin
3/10
5/5
6/4

Sapphire Coast
1/7
5/3

The results shown above are from Tattsbet/Unitab divvies.

A losing day. From the 17 selections there were 10 placegetters for a loss of $1.00.

Just out of interest, if the bets had been on the NSWTAB not Unitab, then there would have been a profit of $0.40.

Just out of interest, of the 17 selections you have, only ONE would have been a selection under the place method I posted my neighbor was doing, and that is Sapphire Coast R5 No3 for a divi of 1.55.

michaelg 3rd January 2013 08:36 AM

Peterpan, your neighbor's placegetter paid $1.55, yet only $1.30 on Unitab and $1.40 on NSWTAB? Was the divvy with a bookie???

$100 on NSW tab and $100 on VIC tab, NSW tab 1.4----VIC tab 1.7---- 1.4 + 1.7 = 2.1---- bet divided by 2 = 1.55.
The bet is ALWAYS divided between those 2 tabs.

peterpan 3rd January 2013 10:08 AM

"bet" divided by 2 should have read "dividend".

Another point is you have to use 2 different browsers, as you can't log into a nsw and vic tab on the same browser.

michaelg 3rd January 2013 10:39 AM

Thanks, Peterpan. I wasn't aware of that because I look at the old not the "new" Unitab site.

Today's selections:

Geraldton
2/4
5/7

Wyong
4/7

Kyneton
6/3

Rocky
1/1
3/2
5/4
7/1

Correction - Wyong 4/7 is not a qualifier. I don't know how I could've said said it was - it's having it's first career start and is unpriced in the neural market.

That's what happens when I don't double-check.

michaelg 3rd January 2013 06:54 PM

Today there were 5 placegetters from the seven selections for a profit of $0.60.
