Yes I have, missed a bet on 3 horses today. Message was that My login had expired! I was betting every race. By the time I logged out and in again the race had started. Yesterday R4 Pinjarra froze and I lost a winning bet again. My biggest gripe with them is their sales pitch "Pays first past the post" They claim it's to release your liability early while awaiting the outcome of a protest. They never release it until the protest is decided!
No competition on Lay betting, what do you do?

Well this is competition. All you have to do is back every other selection, that would be the same as laying the selection not bet. Getting the odds to do this successfully is hard though. But if betfair ever packed up in Australia I would serioiusly look at doing it this way.

Anyone having issues today?

API Errors would have cost me 2 winners so far today if I wasn't keeping watch, those being sr04 & mr08.

It could be just a coincidence but the 2 races involved had 6 or more bets trying to be placed, all others today have been 5 or less bets.

I'm not game to leave my bot to do it's work & theres still a dozen races to go - not happy Jan(angry face).

Whatever the case, BF will be getting a rather annoyed email from me shortly, not good enough all these constant issues.

I have notr had any issues today that I can see (well no emailed errors which is what my bot does). Logs also show no errors.

I had no issues on or around those races. What error are you getting ?

stugots 9th March 2013 06:00 PM

API_ERROR.

Assuming we are talking about Betting Assistant here, I have BA setup to 'CLEAR' bets when api_error or invalid_persistence messages are returned & having watched the races effected today, the api_error messages are cleared then keep repeating as the bot clears the errors.

There were a couple of instances during the week where bets went unplaced, but as I wasn't around & my bot clears the errors, I couldn't be sure what had happened.

My understanding is that api_errors are strictly a problem at BF's end & as nothing has changed in my environment, that's what I am going with.

Hard enough to win at this game as it is - tell ya I might have gone postal if I wasn't around to get those bets on today as it would have turned a nice steady profitable day into a frustratingly unnecessary & undeserved losing one, considering the commission I pay these ********ers & all.

I write my own bots so it would be interesting to see the cause behind the API ERROR message. There is always an error description that comes across with it but perhaps BA is choosing not to show it.

There is also the problem of which API version are you using vs mine. I admit mine is older and not the latest version so perhaps mine was fine but yours was not. FYI I am using ver 4 and I think they are up to version 7. I keep meaning to rewrite it but haven't had time. I'll be screwed the day they disable my version.
