Highest Strike Rate Betting System I Know...
This simple betting system gives you one bet in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane each Saturday.
While the horses are at short odds, in the past it has had an exceptional winning strike rate. You need nothing more than a Saturday morning newspaper or reliable Saturday morning prices on the internet. The horse to back at each meeting is the one quoted at the shortest price at each meeting. Last Saturday there were two bets. Of course we left Mornington alone. The two horses both won. They were: Kaiser Franz $2.60 at Doomben and Winx $1.80 at Randwick. |
Why only Saturday?
|
Because over the years I've only followed Saturday results.
|
What is the strike rate ?
I hope its close to 90% or higher. |
Just checked the results for Saturday, 26th. March, using the morning newspaper.
Caulfield: Petits Filous 1st. $1.90 Rosehill: It's Somewhat 1st. $1.75 Doomben: Sir Moments $2.10 3rd. That was a POT of over 20%. I've been asked what the strike rate is. Let's just say whenever I've followed this system it has been very high. I've posted results for the last 2 Saturdays - 4 winners from 5 bets. |
Hi Neil,
Very interesting, and takes only a couple of minutes to work out, then the day is your own again. I must check online papers as I never buy a paper. But I do recall looking at IAS Prices on Saturday morning and Winx was about $2.10 and Tarzino was about $1.85. Regards, Paul |
Pauls123, for obvious reasons I wouldn't trust bookies pre post prices.
In the Winning Post Winx was $1.85. I think I also may have used Saturday's Herald Sun, but I've thrown the paper out. If there are slight differences I don't think it should matter - swings and roundabouts. |
Hey Paul....
Try this. http://dailytel.newspaperdirect.com/epaper/viewer.aspx Not sure if they change it every day, but let me know if they do. Norm |
I would just Use Racingandsports prices
|
I use "ActivePaper" on line, and found these for past 3 weeks.

Upped the % to higher. Include Adelaide. Passing on a couple of 100%, Syd Suspense. Bris Elegant composure

what do you mean 100%
|
Sorry Pauls in the wrong thread...
|
Another system sending punters straight to the poor house.
You would have more success laying these horses imo |
Here are today's 3 bets based on prices from this morning's Saturday Herald Sun.
Best tote odds are used. Randwick: Japonisme $3.40 1st. Doomben: Elegant Composure $2.10 1st. Sandown: French Emotion and Charlevoix were both quoted at $2.10 Charlevoix won at odds of $2.90 and French Emotion finished second starting at $2.35. With a tie for shortest odds I think it is probably best to not bet. |
Nice result there Neil,
Maybe I best invest in buying a Saturday paper |
Thanks Pauls123.
This system, using a reliable Saturday morning newspaper form guide, has consistently produced a very high winning strike rate. Though as we all know while past results are a very good indicator of future results, nothing is guaranteed in racing! |
I've looked at yesterday's other meetings and used the market in the Daily Telegraph and the divvies shown on Unitab. The results are:
Newcastle 2/1 - Won $2.40 Coffs 4/7 - Won $2.20 Morphetville 4/7 - Won $2.30 Bendigo 1/10 - Second $1.40 Ascot Won - $1.90. |
Haven't got the dividends but looked at yesterdays results from NZ, Ireland and United Kingdom just for fun. Morning odds from R&S
New Zealand: Te Aroha R5 Chenille 3rd Trentham R1 Beefeater 2nd Riverton R7 Miss Three Stars 1st Ireland: Gowran Park R7 Radanpour 2nd United Kingdom: Aintree R3 Douvan 1st Chepstow R2 3rd Lingfield no single selection Wolverhampton R5 Magical Path 2nd Sedgefield R2 Mardale 1st |

Great results. If a punter is relying on dividends from just one state when betting then that punter is putting himself at a massive disadvantage. It's bad enough to turn wagers that could make long term profits into long term losses. |
Would these prices be accurate as pre post prices?
http://www.racingandsports.com.au/e...meetingid=75314 |
Yesterday morning, before I headed off to play Pennants bowls, I checked the prices on R&S.
Come up with Doomben R3 No.3 Primal Flight quoted at $2.40 - unplaced Randwick R1 No. 1 Prized Icon quoted at $2.30,......1st paid $2.80 Sandown R6 No 1 Cool Chat quoted at $2.10, second. R&S prices do seem to vary from the papers, with your stats might have to stick to the papers. Paul |
Surely there must be a reliable source online for PPP, i know the WA tab has there form but i would rather a proper site version, W2B used to have a good service but they have changed and from what i can see now quote bookie prices.
|
Out of interest today's Daily Telegraph selections (a massive 20) are:
Gundagai 7/6 Port Augusta ($3 fave) 1/7 2/3 3/4 4/1 5/2 6/2 7/4 8/1 Pakenham ($2.50 fave) 1/4 3/2 Sunshine Coast ($3.50 fave) 1/4 4/3 5/2 Echuca ($3.00 fave) 1/4 2/5 3/3 4/4 6/9 Mudgee 3/2 |

Are they all equal favs? because i thought was supposed to be only the lowest prices fav. |
Yes, the method is to bet the lowest price fave according to the/any newspaper per venue. But today there is no sole lowest price fave at some venues. For example, at Port Augusta the lowest price fave in all the eight races is $3.00. I looked at a previous day where at a particular venue there were 5 selections, 3 won for a total TAB return of $5.10. I assume Neil would have said to delete any venue if there was more than one selection but as nothing was mentioned I decided to test it. Time will tell...

All good, i just wasn't sure by your post, so looking at the original rules there would be just 2 selections. |
I remember trying this out last year, and I could not make a go of it. But I was only trying midweek not looking at saturday metro.
Someone last year posted similar system (was it d'dog), but instead of the shortest price at each meeting, it was the shortest overall. So left with 1 bet. Here what I found today using the wa site geraldton 4 1 fo' shizzle 2.00 echuca 5 1 melanion 2.5 gundagai 7 6 lord de air 2.5 sscoast 6 2 dream speed 3 mudgee 3 2 sir plush 1.5 |
Nice one Neil.
Will add it to my list of winning systems. Cheers. |
The UNITAB divvies from the two venues where there was only one selection are:
Mudgee 3/2 - won $1.30 Gundagai 7/6 - won $2.10. |
Cant get better than that.

I think the House of Montague was the fictitious entity from where quite a few systems were sold by a Gold Coast con man. Whose name was Michael by a freak coincidence. Anyway, that's all just for historical reference re old systems and the hyperbolic turn of phrase they used to market them . The rules were, lowest pre-post fav at each meeting, no equal favourites. I must admit that I never followed it so don't know how it would pan out |
Today's selections as per the Telegraph market are:
Goulburn 2/2 Taree 3/1 |
Will be interesting as i am running a test using R&S prices for the week.
|
Forgot to mention that the original system was Saturday only.
I did a few spot checks last night using a few old Telegraph pre post prices midweek and it didn't look too flash, but I only looked at few odd days. Maybe R&S pre post may be more accurate or it could be swings and roundabouts. |
I would assume the Tele has more accurate prices only because R & S prices are calculated two days prior but the Tele the day/night before. This is purely an assumption.
|
Today's results:
Goulburn 2/2 - won $3.10 Taree 3/1 - won $1.90 |
We are on a Winner there MichaelG.
Thats 4 /4 . And who said we all need a expensive Data Base. Cheers darky |
Today's Telegraph selections are:
Gosford 2/3 Murwillumbah 3/2 |
Today's results:
Gosford 2/3 - won $1.80 Murwillumbah 3/2 - won $2.00 |
