Oh, Lucky lil,oh Lucky lil,
Your Saturdays tips were such a thrill,
Please pardon my flattery.if you will,
But 100% is Queen of the hill,
At punting Ned-e's such a dill,
A terrible mess of betting swill,
But then you demo-ed all your skill,
Two of the best, in for the kill,
So instead of swallowing a bitter pill,
For once, there's money in the till!!!

Cheers......Ned-E

TajRossi75 21st September 2003 10:19 AM

Well done Lucky Lil!!

Almost a clean sweep also............

Dr Pangloss 21st September 2003 10:37 AM

If I counted every last winner Lucky Lil has tipped on this forum for the last three months I would need one finger, and one finger only.

That's right, one winner in the last three months and that was a $3.60 winner yesterday.

But since Casino Knight at $3.00 was the lay of the day (which duly bolted in at $1.85) I am not getting too carried away.

Get real guys - I'm starting to get confused as to whether PPM are posting here under a different user name.

darkydog2002 22nd September 2003 10:59 AM

DR PANGLOSS. ACADEMICALLY I AM TRIALING LUCKY LILS TIPS TO THE NEWSLETTER SUBCRIBERS.WILL GIVE YOU A FULL RUN DOWN IN 3 MONTHS<

Paddy 22nd September 2003 12:03 PM

Potentially PPM could be posting under various different user names, Dr Pangloss, including me

Makes you wonder

boxhead 22nd September 2003 05:27 PM

Dr. Pangloss
Surely management can confirm or otherwise your claim.
Come on Neil true or not {one winner in trhee months****.
Paddy who's real here ? :???:

boxhead 22nd September 2003 05:30 PM

oops, that'll be 3 months
{early finish one beer too many****

kenchar 22nd September 2003 05:43 PM

Dr Pangloss,
Did you lose your other 7 fingers in a sawmill accident. Dont worry you can still use your toes and 2 thumbs. Start counting on them and you will find there has been a lot more than 1. If you cant use these I will send you some paddlepop sticks and everytime Lil gets a winner you can put 1 aside with your 1 finger.
Cheers

Ned-E-Chaser 23rd September 2003 11:53 AM

Whoa, what did I start here!!? Maybe I just jumped on the good weeks!.....And...who's PPM?

kenchar 23rd September 2003 08:30 PM

WHOS PPM,
Christ I knew tassie was a bit behind the times but to ask that question you must be in the stone age.
Actually sorry I said that you probably dont get the mag over there.
LUCKY TASMANIANS.
Cheers

Dr Pangloss 24th September 2003 12:04 PM

Kenchar

I'm happy to retract if wrong (won't be the first time). But the facts are that Lucky Lil has tipped the grand total of one winner in three months from weekly tips posted to this forum.

If there have been any more please refer to the appropriate dated posting - but don't waste your time looking because they are simply not there.

Serious tipsters should not be afraid to post updated seasonal w/l PoT +/- units but such a practice is unheard on this forum. You have to wonder why.

partypooper 24th September 2003 12:20 PM

Dr Pandloss, Lucky Lil, also posts 2 free tips via the free news letter (i.e. a total of 4 tips per Saturday) and as I believe in credit where it's due, has performed incredibly well overall, inc. last week with Alice In Toyland, Finniss D'or, Wayjo, and Regal Summer ($4 place)

darkydog2002 24th September 2003 03:35 PM

Thanks DD, Oh well back to the cave and brontosauras burgers for some.

Chrome Prince 24th September 2003 04:58 PM

As usual the FULL facts are not fully obtained before judgements are made.

Lucky Lil posts tips in the weekly newsletter IN ADDITION TO the forum tips.

Quite easy to sign up for the weekly newsletter really.

Neil 24th September 2003 05:25 PM

As usual there are stats and there ARE stats. Just thought I'd check out Lucky Lil's Forum tips in June that might have not been included by the Doctor.

7th. June
Naden $11.80 first
King Of Them All third $2.60

14th. June
Wyangan Pines second $2.60

21st. June
two unplaced runners

Presumably the Doctor included these two unplaced runners as he referred to the last three months?

Visitors to our site are of course free to take notice of the free tips or leave them as they see fit.

kenchar 24th September 2003 05:34 PM

darkydog2002 24th September 2003 07:05 PM

RE THE P.O.T FIGURES AND THE STAKING.
I AM BETTING TO TAKE $100 OVER 10 BETS.
IF THE TARGET IS REACHED BEFORE THE END OF THE 10 BETS THEN NO MORE BETS IN THAT SERIES OF 10,THE REMAINING BETS ARE JUST RECORDED.
I THEN BEGIN AGAIN.TARGET $100.
MY DIVISORS ARE MAXIMUM 5 .MINIMUM 2.
I AM USING NSW TAB DIVIDENDS.
IN THE CASE OF THE 20/8 LIL GOT 1 WINNER PAYING $8.10 AND A 4th AT 9/2.
SINCE THE 4th WAS THE FIRST BET =$100 DIVIDED BY 5 =$20 BET.LOST
TARGET NOW $120 DIVIDED BY 5 =$24 WIN $8.10/$2.50.7.1/1 x $24 =$170.40 NETT.
OUTLAY $44 NETT $170.40 = 387.2% ON TURNOVER.
IN THE CASE OF THIS TRIAL MY OBJECTIVE WILL BE WHEN THE BANK (IAM ASSUMING HERE A $1000 BANK)DOUBLES THEN I WILL TAKE THE TARGET TO $150.THE DIVISORS WILL REMAIN THE SAME.
IF THE BANK RUNS INTO A HORROR RUN THEN ALL I HAVE TO DO IS BRING ANOTHER 5 DIVISOR OR 2.

HOPE THAT HELPS.CHEERS DARKY.

darkydog2002 24th September 2003 07:15 PM

30/8.4th 9/2 1 WIN $8.10 /$2.50
6/9.2 BETS BOTH UNPLACED
13/9.2 BETS 1 2nd 1unplaced .
20/9 2 BETS 2 WINS $8,80/2.80 $4.10/$1.90.

THATS WHERE I AM NOW.

CHEERS.

Dr Pangloss 25th September 2003 11:17 PM

What tips Luckl Lil may have posted to a newsletter or handed out to his/her hairdresser remain entirely irrevelant to this thread.

The historical forum records show that since 14 June 2003 Lucky Lil has tipped 4 winners and 26 losers generating results of -11.6 units and a LoT 38.6%.

In spite of this abysmal forum tipping record is was NOT my intention to malign Lucky Lil (let the profit makers cast the first stone).

My intentions are to highlight the oringinal posting "Lucky Lil for PM" penned by the apparently first time poster Ned-E-Chaser. Lucky Lil's tipping abilities were eulogised in the form of poetic verse that sought to portray a punting genius that I would not ordinarily associate with a LoT 38% record.

It struck me that these outrageous (and baseless) claims were not too disimiliar from the extraordinary profit making claims attributed to PPM and highlighted elsewhere within these forum pages.

On further investigation I discovered Ned-E-Chaser second post here http://www.smartgambler.com.au/foru...3948&forum=3&13 where Ned-E-Chaser lets it slip that he has previously posted on the VultimaX/Softholdings topic. If he did so then it wasn't under the username 'Ned-E-Chaser'.

Stretching credibility even further Ned-E-Chaser in his/her third and final post earlier in this thread claimed to have no knowledge of PPM (".....who's PPM"). He knows all about VultimaX/Softholdings but the widely publicised and notorious PPM escapes his notice??

Give me a break.

Chrome Prince 25th September 2003 11:27 PM

He says and I quote:

"I have posted a one word answer elsewhere on this topic."

He didn't say he posted here.

Dr you need to see a doctor.

er...hem!!

Octennial ran nowhere.

Natural Blitz ran nowhere.

Just like last week, and the week before that, and the week before .........

I say again, have the decency to POST THE YTD RECORDS. Losing tips are NOT free, they are very, very expensive.

I think that should clear up a few things for the good DR.
You've had a go at Lil, Mark and various others including myself, without considering the FULL facts.

How about posting something constructive, or is that beyond the realms of possibility???

kenchar 12th October 2003 04:24 PM

Give up the fags DOC thats a bad cough you have at the start of your post

Paddy 13th October 2003 08:41 AM

As I see it there are 2 sources of LL tips available in this forum - those posted by management (oops! I mean Lucky Lil  ) in the forum itself, and those available by being part of an email distribution list (great marketing strategy). As far as I'm concerned if someone is going to take the trouble to keep to-date stats, let's see the full picture, not half. Otherwise don't bother.

Dr Pangloss 13th October 2003 11:09 AM

I'll type this slowly so that even those with an axe to grind can arrive at a modicom of understanding.

Lucky Lil's 'free' tips as posted to this forum show a long term LOSS. They are not FREE - they are very, very EXPENSIVE. The idea that Lucky Lil's tips generate a profit is not supported by a shred of evidence outside of transient one-time posters with dubious pedigree.

Surely it is a simple (and responsible) exercise to post YTD results (with the tips) - and if the tips were profitable why in the world would you not publish that fact?

The answer is blindingly obvious.

darkydog2002 13th October 2003 12:08 PM

G,day Paddy. And i am just the bloke to do it if anyones interested.
Previously up to the 30/8/03 i have only given them a cursory glance but like i did with AHJAYS they became a fascination for me.
Its no skin off my shoulders to give you all a monthly update or for that matter any update you like.
Since i started using them i have made good money from them. And i thank LIL for that (whoever she/he might be).
If their managements tips under some sort of guise then i would think that they would have a better time frame than I and it would be no problem for them to give you an idea.I MYSELF WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THAT.
In the meantime I can only go from the 30/8/03.
Anyone out there interested in updates.
Warmest regards.
Darkydog.

Chrome Prince 13th October 2003 12:26 PM

Here we go again

Let's get to the facts, as usual they seem to get lost in transit.

I searched and searched and searched and could not find a single one-time poster re Lil's Tips.

There are two sets of tips, one set in the weekly newsletter and one set on the forum.

No claims are made by Lil regarding the loss or profit of those tips.

The congratulations from many posters come from the tips in the newsletter which are very good and showing a profit regardless of anything else.

Both sets are FREE and available for use or otherwise.

The forum tips that Lil has supplied would have SAVED you a bundle if you look at her "NOT VALUE" horses.

It's up to the individual to use the tips in any way he/she sees fit.

It's very easy to criticize and say:

"Octennial ran nowhere.

Natural Blitz ran nowhere.

Just like last week, and the week before that, and the week before ......... "

What about Dorky?
You were told it was no value and it ran accordingly.
What about So Assertive?
It didn't win either on Lil's advice.

So what do we have with regard to the FORUM tips for the last month?
This belies the good Dr's statement....

Last Saturday
BET - Octennial (lost)
BET - Natural Blitz (lost)

LAY - Dorky (SAVED MONEY or BETFAIR???)

4th October
BET - Shower of Roses (won) $3.00
BET - The Big Chill (lost)

LAY - So Assertive (SAVED AGAIN or BETFAIR)

Did Lil lose this week or break even or profit - you decide!

27th September
BET - Classy Dane (lost)
BET - Ta Ta Tatiana (lost)

LAY - Fatoon (SAVED AGAIN or BETFAIR)

20th September
BET - Wayjo (won) $3.40
BET - Regal Summer (lost)

LAY - Casino Knight (won at odds on $1.80)

Total 8 win bets
$6.40 return
loss of 1.60 units

Total 4 lay bets
only one winner, so three from four LAYS successful.

So 6 from 12 BET/LAYS successful.

Not too shabby Dr.
