Testarossa,

Without actually giving away all the rules, what are the basics of the plan???

TESTAROSSA 23rd February 2004 06:17 PM

Hi Sportz,

The system is very simple really, so giving away the basic rules would give away the system, which i don't want to do at this stage, i will just say that all selections are either 1st up or 2nd up

Cheers.

If I had a system with a 205% POT, I wouldn't be giving away the rules either !

So...

Not trying to be harsh or upset anyone, but I think I'm making a valid point, which is reason enough to comment:

Great, the results of a system with unpublished rules [ about as interesting as reading a tattslotto result you havn't got a ticket in ].

Apart from being a possible exercise in self praise,is there some sort of rational reasoning at work here ?
If so, please enlighten me as I just can't see it. [ It's obviously on the wrong forum page as well ].

Cheers.

Shaun 24th February 2004 01:44 PM

Crash ...the fact he put his recent results there is enought to understand how the system works if you take the time to go over each selection and find common ground

crash 24th February 2004 04:42 PM

Thanks Shaun,

I'm with the program now. Testa was 'secretly' letting everyone in on the system ?

Boy, am I s-l-o-w !!

Thanks Testa.

TESTAROSSA 24th February 2004 04:51 PM

Crash,

The reason i posted results is because i am going to post the selections daily from today, i thought people might want to know what the previous results were like.

I might be wrong but were you the one who said Sportz was an idiot for posting his successful system rules? Now you are calling me an egomaniac because i posted a few background results from a system i have been working on so i can post selections daily.

Shaun is right the system is pretty simple, all you have to do is have a look at each selections form and you will notice they all have something in common.

Cheers.

Testa,

Steady ! I didn't call you anything.

I was commenting on what was actually in [or wasn't in ] your first post, not your unknown 'intentions' [ that you have belatedly now posted ]. We ain't mind readers here.

I made fair comment considering your posts content, not an accusation. Why would anyone bother ?

Testa wrote:

Before you go suggesting I called someone an 'idiot' or called you an 'egomaniac', perhaps you should read the forum rules on slander because your indulging in it.

If anything I called Sportz 'altruistic' [ a compliment ] and certainly not an 'idiot'. He also agreed with the point I was making if you would care to look.

Cheers.

Desi 24th February 2004 11:12 PM

Testarossa,
Not sure what it is...cos I know I am slow he he! and lazy...Testa thanks for the tip today..might have a look at the Ipswich lot...like any system...time will tell but so far looks OK...

Selections – 43.
Winners – 7.
Placings – 14.
Return - $136.00.
Profit - $93.00.
P.O.T – 215%.

O/L $86 [assuming e/w on all bets ]

Wouldn't profit only be $50 not $93 ?
Only the cost of the win bets have been deducted from return.

Cheers.

Shaun 24th February 2004 11:48 PM

crash never assume it will always make an ASS out of U and ME he didn't include the place betts because there were none....he was demonstrating win returns....but did show the place % if any one was interested

crash 25th February 2004 06:07 AM

Have to agree there Shaun.

I guess I was too tired from all the searching for the common links that these horses have, to add everything up.

My assumption was, as there is no O/L total, but the place prices and place totals are displayed along with the win totals, it should mean something [ e/w betting ? ].

I should not assume there is a logical reason behind anything in this forum anymore.

I did try, rather feebly, to cover myself with a question mark [ at the last moment ].

So far, I have come up with these system rules:
1. Win bet only
2. Must be a maiden
3. 1st. or 2nd. up only
4. Any day of the week
5. stating price up to $38 [maybe more]
6. any barrier
7. any jockey
8. any trainer
9. If more than one selection, go with your best guess or throw a dart [?]

There may be more, but I am at a loss and still tired [ and I just got up ].

Cheers.

good 4th 25th February 2004 07:44 AM

I cant find anything in common with theses selections..... it's got me, come on TESTAROSSA how about a clue??????

GD4TH

Shaun 25th February 2004 09:29 AM

NO clues...i like this game...just when i think i have found it...there will be one horse that stuffs it up......he did say it was simple so i am guessing there is 1 or 2 rules

TESTAROSSA 25th February 2004 11:29 AM

There are actually 7 rules, but you already have 3:

(1) Must be a Maiden.
(2) Must be 1st or 2nd up.
(3) Must be $8.00 or more.

Clues:

(1) Check amount of starts for each selection.

(2) The thing they all have in common happened at their first lifetime start.

Hope that helps.

Cheers.

puntz 25th February 2004 01:32 PM

can you be a bit more specific on the
"first life time start" ?

Is this trials, home track, or the actual track of their very first start /

TESTAROSSA 25th February 2004 02:24 PM

Puntz,

First actual race start involving prizemoney.

1 st. start ?

Well, being maidens, what they all have in common is they lost. LOLOL.

Cheers.

kenchar 25th February 2004 05:02 PM

Crash,

Sorry about this but I can't help myself.

Yeah they lost like 2 of the 3 tips you posted the other day. ( actually 4 tips but 1 was scatched).

I watched those tips with interest and the only conclusion I can come to is that don't worry about doing any form, just go to the Qtab site and look for the horses that have got a big red mark on the odds and you will come up with the same selections.

Would save you a lot of time

crash 25th February 2004 05:07 PM

You had a bad day Ken char ? 1 win and a second wasn't bad from 3. [weren't all favorites either]. Perhaps you should put some tips up yourself ? Your not even risking being in the comp.

Testa,

Have just finished checking out the first starts of the horses here. The only thing I can find in common, is that they are all horses [?].

Love a riddle, but ???

Good going anyway Testa, however your doing it.

Cheers.

Our Maizcay 25th February 2004 10:42 PM

Ok ..

i haven't finished looking through everything, but here are my possible 3 additional rules based on the horses given.

Testarossa ... am I right about any of these???

* Under 10 starts .. ie 1 to 9
* Weight change from previous start either up max 3kgs, or down max 3kgs (-3 to +3 kgs)
* My longshot ... Average Prizemoney $2,000 or less.

Also, I have narrowed your selections down again using some very basic additional criteria , and got two new feeds. The results were... with only one additional rule...

BELLA FUTURA unp
CODED $29.00 $5.80
DISCO SLACKS unp
HELLO CRYSTAL 3rd $4.40
JONOBLE $10.20 $2.30
MONKEYPICKEN unp
PEGUNNY JAKE unp
ROXBURY HALL unp
SHE'S STRIKING $10.90 $3.10
SLASHERS CREEK unp $1.60
STARZAMI $10.20 $2.10
Selections: 11
Collect (Win): $60.30
Profit: $49.30

With the smallest of extension of the same criteria we could add this to the above...

CRYSTAL EXPRESS $2.20
LADY CANNY
WEEPING WILLOW
CHARLIE'S LEGACY
LA SPERANZA
DARING ECHO
ORONSAY $8.40 $2.50
BROCANTEUR $37.80 $5.20
LONGSTONE
DREJA
ONUS
CHAMPONY
NINA BELLE
GONE FOR GLORY
It drops your strike rate, but there is a good profit there.

The other sub-system from your horses gives these results ... again, a very simple criteria ( 1 rule)..

CODED $29.00 $5.80
CRYSTAL EXPRESS $2.20
HELLO CRYSTAL $4.40
JONOBLE $10.20 $2.30
KAORU SQUARE
MONKEYPICKEN
NINA BELLE
SHE'S STRIKING $10.90 $3.10
SLASHERS CREEK $1.60
ZAMURD

Selections: 10
Win Div: $50.10
Profit: $40.10
Place Div: $19.40
Profit: $9.40 (94%)

I'll show you mine if you show me yours

I have looked at tomorrows yet, so haven't applied my criteria to your selections.

Good Luck for tomorrow....

OM

jaffa 26th February 2004 12:33 AM

I have used a very successful maiden system on city and provincial tracks for 20 years , since a rails client of bookie Col Dale in sydney put me on to it.

Only time i have back $125 winners 3 times in town, Simple rules which i am happy to share.

First -- Barrier 7 or inside
2nd -- No 2nd ups unless first prepartion
3rd -- Must not had more 7 starts
4th and last-- Must be $ 7 or more.

If 2 in race back both, if more back best drawn 2.

Maidens anywhere. Just have a look on Thurs 26/2/04 at any track.

Desi 26th February 2004 01:48 AM

It will be most interesting watching this system in action tonight. I'm glad your selections are on the two tracks I'm allowed to bet from the U.S.. Good luck to us all.
Maiden races are tough to crack here as well.

Maizcay/Jaffa,

Wow, this thread is 'growing' systems !

The common link for Testa's system though, is something in common to all horse's first start. Find that and everything else becomes clear I think.

Will have to have another look.

Cheers.

Kenchar,

I prefere humor with my 'shots', not cheap spite [I don't think anyone in this forum needs you as babysitter].

Back to publishing your tips after they run [you should start another thread on it ] ?
We could vote on a new rule in the comp. to encourage you to join in, allow you to post your Sat. tips as results on Sat. night.

My only bets yesterday were R6 and 7 at Sandown: $9 and $4.50 wins. Sounds a bit flat after the event, doesn't it ?

Mountaineers couldn't climb the chip on your shoulder. Give it a rest, this ain't your thread.

Cheers.

OM,

The Under 10 starts rule is spot on, the other 2 are not, there are no rules involving Weight or Prizemoney, or Barriers as well.

Everyone,

The thing they all have in common at their first start is pretty simple, ( Besides losing Crash  ) You are all gonna kick yourselves when you realise what it is.

I suggest going to ******************** and searching each selection in Horse History and look at everything each selection has in common at its first start.

Hint - It involves a number
