Hi guy's. Just wondering if someone could check to see on thier data base if this method works. It's pretty easy...bet the number (1) one horse in the last race in Melbourne gallops...if 9 races, race 8 will be concidered the last race...unless there is scratching in race 8, then you can use race 9. My brother always goes on about it, so I decided to check a couple of months.Checked from January 3rd, 2004 to April 3rd, 2004...Results for that test were!

13 Selections
6 Wins.

Price of winners: $4.60,$9.50, $10.50, $1.40, $3.30, $15.20.

Why don't you just say Number 1 in Race 8?

I'm not knocking this idea. In fact I like betting on Number ones and I've backed some of those winners including Little Baldy on Saturday.

However, I can't quite work out why you back Number 1 in the last race if there's 8 races, but if there's 9 races you bet on the 2nd last race? Seems strange.

Coffee, are you referring to Saturday city meetings only??????

captain charger 5th April 2004 03:55 PM

Coffee for 2003(QLD TAB)
Selections:52 Wins;7 DIV for win:49units a loss of 3 units.
2004
Selections:14,Wins:6 Win Div:55.6 showing 41.6 units in front.
In 2003 you had a win paying $24.20 and a losing sequence of 16.I wouldn't rely on this to make money but maybe is good for a fun thing, cheers,The Captain

Guy's,

Sorry for the confusion there. The reason I said only bet race 8 was because it normaly is the last race and with "Murphs law" I don't want to take any chances. Eg; There might be 9 races and then number 1 wins in race 8 and you just backed race 9..."I know I would be kicking myself if that happens"...but thats just the way I am.

Captain Charger,
Thanks for the test mate, I appreciate it. Also it was for Saturday mettings. Thanks again.
