Czar, you could do well with those. Just one thing though. Your first 2 bets don't seem to make a lot of sense. Wouldn't it be much easier to simply have $40 on Fremantle under 39.5 at $2.25, and $40 on Geelong to win at $1.30?

I agree,particularly with the Geelong one.
Gives him a profit of $12 regardless of the margin.
I once advised someone to do exactly what Czar proposed with his Geelong bet.Later I calculated the TAB takeout,and realized that it was a rippoff.
A little bit of mathematics can go a long way.

I've now noticed my mistakes and will not repeat them in future.

Comments: moeee: it seems you were wrong. If I had bet $40 on Geelong to win (at $1.30) it would have made $12 profit. However, my $20 bets on Geelong both under/over 39.5 ensured $15 profit because Geelong won by over 39.5. I still understand your point though. The best option I could’ve taken would have been to bet $40 on Geelong to win over 39.5, which would have ensured $70 profit. Anyhow, I’m satisfied with today’s result.

Yeah, I tipped 8/8 in the AFL and I think most people should have done the same. Most of the games were pretty easy. I think next week could be a bit tougher.
