Haven't got a clue about odds have we Rabbitz.
Unless you really feel that the Lions should start at 1.10 at each of their next 3 games?
Anyone who takes a bet on Brisbane at less than $1.90 is a fool.

mug punta 29th August 2004 05:03 PM

Rabbitz knows Mo, but, just like I was in 2000 as a mad bomber supporter he is revelling in knowing how good his mob is but if Lynchys dodgy hammies dont come up they arent certainties.
I spose they'll just pump some more drugs into him hey Rabbitz and then say its to help his chronic fatigue

rabbitz 29th August 2004 05:14 PM

Moeee just for that $1.91 for everyone except mopeeee,er i mean moeee(whos not invited to comment as usual)
I have said all along in good and bad that Lions will win and they will, lynch or no lynch. After the weekends games I would say that Lions ,Geelong and Westcoast are only serious contenders now
cheers

sportznut 29th August 2004 05:15 PM

They aren't certainties WITH Lynch. Rabbitz, $1.33 is an absolute joke. You might think they're over the line, but some more realistic Lions fans don't think so.

rabbitz 29th August 2004 05:18 PM

'Well see sportz we'll see,No one has knocked me off me stand to back anyone else,What odds would you like,O.K. evens for you
Revised book
Lions $2
Write your own ticket the rest
Cheers
P.S. I'm off to see my unrealistic imaginary friend now

moeee 29th August 2004 05:29 PM

I didnt know Eddie Maguire played for St Kilda.
Looking at the finals draw
Lions v Saints
Its 27 degrees in brisbane today so if I was Grant Thomas I,d say get on a plane to Brisbane today and train at midday all week
with their sweats on.
port Adelaide v Geelong
If I was the Geelong coach I'd say to the team ,go to a hypnotherapist and have him or her convince them that AAMI stadium is really skillled stadium, then they could win
Melbourne v Essendon
Do I dare say it ,the bombers may just win this one
Sydney v West Coast
The battle of the Birds
Sydney Just, but only because of the home advantage, but we know west coast can travel
Now if all goes to plan
Brisbane WIN
Port Adelaide Win
Essendon Win
Swans or West coast dont know
2nd Week
Geelong v Essendon
Geelong Win
St Kilda v Swans or West coast
St kilda Win
3rd Week
Port v St kilda
Saint Kilda Win (only because it will be in Melbourne)
Brisbane v Geelong
Brisbane WIN (because it will be at the 'G,but if its raining that could be a factor)
Brisbane V st kilda Gfinal
cheers

No it won't!

If Port win this week as you predicted, their Prelim Final will be at home.

Yes right you are Sportz
Well that changes things a tad
Its funny that Port get two home finals and lions one,if thats still the case
Anyway just looking at the herald sun website and they have framed the following market
Lions $1.20
St Kilda $4
Melbourne $1.80
Essendon $1.90
Sydney $1.50
West Coast $2.40
Port Adelaide $1.28
Geelong $3.30
West coast look good value at $2.40
Cheers

That's exactly the same advantage that they've had the last two years as well, but they threw it away by losing their first home final. Still reckon Port are a big chance. You've got to think that they're going to stop choking sooner or later.

That depends whether theyre being strangled by an eagle or munched by a Lion
Anyone give the eagles a chance Saturday
Dont think the road trip will bother them
cheers

moeee 1st September 2004 04:03 PM

Sure they got a chance. In fact they got two chances.

Buckleys and none.

2nd September 2004 04:17 PM

Lions will win the flag. The $600,000 salary cap bonus is a furphy as it doesn't filter through to the players. Acker gets $220,000 per annum, how much would he get at the Saints?? Triple it!!! Holland of the Hawks is on $600,000 fior this year as is Mercuri for Essendon!

I am not a Lions supporter but these dudes have run one very smart race and outgunned the dills at Collingwood and Essendon for starters.

Hey Butternut, why don't you look at the facts before you go shooting off your gob!
Sure, Brisbane have done well to keep their list intact but if you think the extra $600000 doesnt help ur a moron.
The players are smart enough to know that they could individually get more money elsewhere but ther fact that they are able to split up and share the extra money makes it feel like it's fairer for all and they also know they are able to be a part of the best team in history.
Would players like Copeland,McCrae,White, the Scotts,Bradshaw etc be the players they are at other teams where they would be expected to be stars. I highly doubt it.
I am an Esendon supporter and since our flag in 2000 we have been FORCED to get rid of players such as Heffernen,Hardwick,Blumfield,Moorcroft,Jacobs to fit under the cap so dont give me this bull******** about the extra 600k not helping.
Who have Brisbane had to get rid of in their time.
Headland and who did they get in return.Oh, thats right another premiership player of ours Carracella.

moeee 4th September 2004 11:37 AM

Lost a dollar or two last night did we Mugsy?
Talk about having a grizzle.

goldmember 4th September 2004 11:50 AM

Decided to take the lions to just win in multis, i heard on the t.v coverage there was plenty of money for the saints, wonder what price the lions got to, i bet early in the afternoon and they were $1.24

moeee 4th September 2004 11:57 AM

Gee.Not much heart in that bet Goldmember.
I didn't do a lot better,but went the Lions at -15
And again I have gambled completely on the Demons.Off now to save on the Bombers to win by over 9 points

goldmember 4th September 2004 12:14 PM

Moeee, had a sportstab multi, not sportodds PYOS and had a friday quaddie,LIONS/PANTHERS/HEWITT/RODDICK.I know it was short and safe but i had a GOOD win, and thats my spending money for the horse today.

gotta go, cheers
