Sportz, they have a bet of leading qld team:
Bribane Bullets $2.10 Townsville Crocs $2.25 Cairns Taipans $5.60 I thought townsville could win,do you also or think brisbane ? |
Sorry Goldmember, I have to do a bit more study on it and get back to you. I must admit I've been really slack with the NBL this year and I'm leaving it a bit late to make my pre-season picks. It's been hard to really get into it while the Football's still on. I'm sure the NBL usually starts after the Football has finished, doesn't it?

Okay, I had a look at it last night. I think both teams will have a great season and are both a strong chance of finishing in the top 4, if not winning the title.
Brisbane will begin with a few injuries, so they may start the year off a bit slowly. When they get their best team on the court however, it looks VERY strong with players like Freeman, Brannen, Rucker, Black and Kerle. Townsville have picked up a couple of strong imports and with the addition of John Rillie and the experience of Rose, I definitely expect them to improve on last year. If I was forced to choose, I would pick the Bullets to finish just ahead of Townsville, but it'll probably be close so if you like the Crocs' chances, go for it. By the way, I also expect Cairns to do pretty well this year, certainly better than the bookies have rated them anyway. [ This Message was edited by: sportznut on 2004-09-29 02:30 ] |

Good tipping, Goldmember. Just 1 point out on the under 199.5. I took the 3.5 start. Now I'm trying to work out whether to back up on Hunter tomorrow with 7.5 start. Did you end up backing the Crocs for leading Qld team? |
Sportz,i did back the crocs, had a good win last night having only a small bet on the pirates tonight with the start.
|
Well, in the end I couldn't bring myself to back the Pirates even with 7.5 points start. I'll wait to look at the odds on the weekend's games.

A little dissapointed with the Razorbacks letting me down, putting a dent in the pocket, but a small profit overall from the 5 games i bet on[missing the hawks game - a winner]
Outlayed $500 -return $547,[11 bets-6 collects]could have been better but afterall it was only the 1st week. cheers [ This Message was edited by: goldmember on 2004-10-03 12:00 ] |
Maybe i should limit my bets to 1 or 2 options per game,and/or bet up more on my *specials*. 2/2 so far :
36ers + 3.5 $1.85 Melb win $1.70 could have outlayed only $200 and returned $355 |
