Aston Villa v Fulham

C Palace v West Brom

Chelsea v Blackburn

Liverpool v Charlton

Norwich v Everton

Tottenham v Bolton

Man Utd v Arsenal

Middlesbrough v Portsmouth

Newcastle v Man City

Southampton v Birmingham

Arsenal... no need to expand
Everton...I dont see why they wont beat Norwich
Liverpool.short should win
Chelsea...Ditto
Middlesborugh.... a bit short should win but portsmouth have got a few players back ....well i wont be sticking my nose in there anyway

I like Bolton at a bit of odds but then again Im cheerin for em this year so I dont know if you call it a selection but I do think they can give spurs a shake at odds

blackpantha 23rd October 2004 01:51 AM

Ill be putting some money on:

Chelsea to beat Blackburn
Liverpool to beat charlton
Juventus to beat Siena

knowledge 23rd October 2004 02:34 AM

me too, black panther.

Here are the golden tips for EPL...

Under 2.5 goals in NORWICH-EVERTON

Under 2.5 goals in TOTTENHAM-FULHAM

Under 2.5 goals in SOUTHAMPTON-BIRMINGHAM

10 units on ARSENAL to win at $2.50
10 units on DRAW at $3.20
=guaranteed profit

LIVERPOOL to WIN
CRYSTAL PALACE-WBA = DRAW
SOUTHAMPTON-BIRMINGHAM = DRAW

read my other thread for Serie A.

knowledge 23rd October 2004 08:04 PM

I'm looking forward to watching another scoreless draw, in Norwich-Everton.

faroutfantasies 23rd October 2004 08:45 PM

Floydyboy 23rd October 2004 08:46 PM

Gentlemen Start Your Engines
GAME ON!!!!!!

knowledge 23rd October 2004 09:04 PM

faroutfantasies: you are already wrong.

10th minute, Kevin Kilbane for Everton.

1-0

hope that's the last of them.

it's not often i watch a game of football wanting NOT to see goals. this is a bit different.

knowledge 23rd October 2004 09:26 PM

2-0 to everton now..

i'm screwed

Northerly 23rd October 2004 09:33 PM

Knowledge,

You obviously know a fair bit about Soccer and I have followed a couple of your selections (particularly Champions League & UEFA Cup).
But I think you need to ease up on people who have made selections opposite to yours or ones you don't agree with. By all means justify your reasoning but your comments are a bit harsh (eg, ****** or "your wrong already" both directed at faroutfantasies "FOF")

Plus your not done yet. Still a chance.
Hopefully a goalless 2nd half

Floydyboy 23rd October 2004 09:37 PM

Half time change ends

knowledge 23rd October 2004 09:52 PM

ok northerly, sorry.. i just didn't want the guy to lose his money.

2-1 now.

my bet loses.

i advise u all to back 'over 2.5 goals' in tottenham match, i dont feel lucky today.

Northerly 23rd October 2004 10:03 PM

that's ok, I was with you on the last bet as well. That was just a small interest bet.
But I think you should stick to your guns on the next one.
I'm a Spurs fan and I can't see more than 2 goals going in. And I've had a very lucky day on the horses so hang in there.
Or are you just doing you jinx thing again?
it worked last time.

knowledge 23rd October 2004 10:04 PM

no I mean I've already backed under 2.5 goals heavily. and I'm feeling unlucky so I believe you should all back OVER 2.5 goals.

just when everything is going well, that's when things are going to start going bad.

Northerly 23rd October 2004 10:09 PM

have faith, from here your overall handicapping looks sound.
With my Horse Betting I use a progressive stake and had a run of 5 outs until the last 2 bets today at $1.95 (happy to end the outs) then the big one at $7.50. Just stick to your guns.
I also use a similar Staking PLan on my Sportsbetting. Was on a run of 6 in a row until the current match, the only reason I backed it was I was at the start of the cycle. (stupid really)

knowledge 23rd October 2004 10:40 PM

man i just feel so unlucky right now...

you might want to also lay West Ham.. I've backed them very heavily.

Floydyboy 23rd October 2004 10:43 PM

settle down there old son the weekend is young

knowledge 23rd October 2004 10:46 PM

nah, I'd say it's in a mid-life crisis.

Seriously though, all my money is on West Ham and under 2.5 goals in Tottenham.

I think WH should be safe but I have doubts about spurs-bolton.

what game is being shown now on fox sports? it doesn't say.

Floydyboy 23rd October 2004 10:54 PM

No it dosent my internet tv guide dosent even show it might be bolton i think and liverpool later on

Floydyboy 23rd October 2004 10:58 PM

Im on Bolton/Lpool double
Carn Sammys Boys

knowledge 23rd October 2004 11:15 PM

1-0 Bolton

another goal inside first 10 mins

hrmmmmmmm....

knowledge 23rd October 2004 11:22 PM

yes.... West Ham 1-0 up in 18th minute.

hold on now and I'll be ok..!

holding on is also what the score between spurs and bolton must do.. please may the scoreboard stay how it is, for Bolton's, Floydyboy's and my sake.

It's also big Sam's birthday.

Floydyboy 23rd October 2004 11:27 PM

the west brom thing dosent look to be goin too well thats life i only had the one bet on em ....Im with you mr K 1-0 would be a good result Go the hammers

knowledge 23rd October 2004 11:29 PM

2-0 West Ham!!!

in the bag, beautiful. less than half an hour gone and already seems safe. I like that.

Floydyboy 23rd October 2004 11:29 PM

2-0

Northerly 23rd October 2004 11:41 PM

I'm with you guys on the Spurs/Bolton clash, even though I'm a Spurs man.
Maybe an equaliser 30 seconds from the final whistle would be ok.

knowledge 23rd October 2004 11:58 PM

well west ham are 3-1 up at half time. Don't look like losing from here.

Tottenham equalised through a Robbie Keane shot through the keepers' legs. 1-1 at half time.

what do you want to happen, Northerly? over 2.5 goals?

Floydyboy 24th October 2004 12:02 AM

Its too late one of us or both of us has to lose 1-1 I havent backed em under over Ive just got bolton in a double with liverpool....
I just decided to cheer em on this year its the underdog thing Ill take em with a banker each week for 6 dollars and see how it goes ill probably jag a few along the way I didnt even back em last week they were too short I dont have any team in particular i just like to see good teams play good football

Floydyboy 24th October 2004 12:03 AM

I wont lose any sleep if it stays at this score mind you i dont mind winning

knowledge 24th October 2004 12:09 AM

i'm almost positive we'll see another goal. Bolton looks more likely to score it as well, in my opinion.

Maybe Tottenham's record of under 3 goals in all their matches will end today, maybe Arsenal's record will break tomorrow?

who knows.

Northerly 24th October 2004 12:13 AM

Under 2.5, I wanted that goal at the end of the 2nd half, not the ************ 1st half

Northerly 24th October 2004 12:16 AM

I spewing. I can bet "In Play" on Betfair and I just tried to take $1.87 on Chelsea to score 1st after half time then at the exact time I hit the accept button the market froze when the was a penalty awarded to Chelsea.
now 3-0

knowledge 24th October 2004 12:17 AM

oh, yeh.. I see now. Me too, it's just not the right day for low scoring I guess. After watching so many low-scoring affairs I thought I could make some money off of the boredom. It backfires though.

Oh well, still we aren't losing yet! 37 mins left but it's possible.

On betfair under 2.5 is available for $3.20 and over is for $1.42.

Hopefully the over price gradually rises and rises....

knowledge 24th October 2004 12:18 AM

ohh no kidding. That's tough, 10 seconds separated you from making a lot of profit.

Floydyboy 24th October 2004 12:20 AM

You put your request in too early
