Sportnutz, thanks for the Cox Plate tips last Friday night. With some analysis I managed to pick two 1st's and three places and came out ontop which was a better outcome than years gone by. I missed the big Sav, changed my mind on Sat. morning after the papers down here put me off due to the trainer's hype. Cheers, Gaso.

I'm afraid my tips today have fallen in a real hole after a good start. Very embarassing. I'm so mad because I ignored 3 of my system selections and they've all won at reasonable odds.

Well, thanks to wins in the last few races, I actually came out on top for the day, but it could have been SO much better!

The place betting only broke even today and unfortunately the longshots were a flop.

Well, I'm working on tightening up the Place betting system rules and I certainly need to. Yesterday's results weren't good.

The best betting races came out in front for the day and there were two wins from the longshots although I must admit they didn't really end up being longshots at all.

A poor day with so many placings, but not many wins. I think I might actually take a bit of a break from the tipping for now while I look closely at a few ideas I'm thinking of using in the future. I'm looking at 3 different methods, including Kenchar's place betting idea and Mav's betting method.

A great win to Makybe Diva. It's one of the few Cups I can remember where two horses appeared to stand out clearly from the rest. I should have taken a trifecta with those two for 1st or 2nd and the field for 3rd, but I didn't have the guts.
