Historical data
Does any one know of a site that provides historical results using best tote prices
|
Sounds like you are a bees dick short of making a profit Shaun.
Good luck in your quest. |
historical data
Shaun, nah, tried that b4, seems you just have to do the pen (mouse) work!!
|
using my rating i made 20% today...from Stab prices...but i was betting else where and made a lot more so i think it best to keep my money there in future....not bad thought backing 3 horses a race to make that sort of profit on turnover
|
I just did a quick calculation and my actual profits today were 45% T.O.P
thats a big difference from 20%....goes to show you how you can get better prices if you look |
dutch betting
Hi Shaun,
Mate I was wondering if you are actually making your Dutch wagers online.I found that on paper it was a great way to bet. However, when it came to actually placing bets with the online tote, the wildly fluctuating odds during the last thirty seconds or so made it impossible. On the racetrack with bookmakers I find it a very viable proposition, but have never worked how to get around the fact that final odds are not displayed online until after the jump. I found that attempting to guess the final odds or come up with some kind of a ballpark figure just didnt pan out.I wondered how you were doing it. ???? |
No dutching involved all i am doing is rating a race taking my top 5 selections and putting equal ammounts on the shortest 3 prices as listed on the WA tab form site....if i get a winner in the race i take the wiining and devide it by 3 and do the same for the next race like an allup if that wins i start again at the begining so it is a two race allup....problem is i can't test these ratings except in real time because of the information i am using and where i get the information from it is automated and takes me about 30 seconds to rate a race

Re. Historical results
Hi Shaun!
I may have something here that could help you re. past results. It is based on Supertab prices which are nearly the same as the WA TAB prices. It shows the 15 minute, ten minute, five minute and final dividents. (of course the race numbe, date, horse, Jock is included) If it's any good to you let me know. Have at least a couple of years, probably more data. Cheers. |

Hi lomaca Do you still have that historical data set? If so, would you care to share? Zlotti |
Iomaca, are there any significant patterns in amongst your data regarding tote prices? such as what did the price of the winners do between the five minute mark and the start? did more firm or drift, or did the ones that firmed more than a certain percentage do any better than ones that did not firm all that much??

Hi! To all who asked about the data re. starting prices. I'm sorry I did not notice the requests, this thread being an old one. I do have the data in monthly chunks going back a few years, and can supply it on CD if wanted, either as Excel or Access format. Dr Ron, I did not do any research on the firming or drifting of prices, sorry. I will try to upload some of it so that you can check if is at all suitable for you. Cheers |
