Weetbix

Never much of a dog man but i do watch a bit and i think Weetbix is close to a special in the brisbane cup at his current quote. Run very well for second behind Bogie Leith last start when drawn the squeeze after an easy win the start before. Drawn 8 should suit better and will turn the tables in bogie leith's swansong at good ew odds.

Looks a very nice return for your investment Mr ed, if current NSW TAB fixed odds are any indication.

Mr ed 14th December 2004 10:44 PM

Yeh had a red hot dip at the $13 yesterday (couldn't get eachies). I am confident it will be much shorter then that on TOTE here as he is a vic dog. I spelt Bogie Leigh's name wrong b4 sorry. Into $10 fixed odds now, hopefully the good judges have the same inkling.

Looks a good one at nice odds, get onto it Mr ed

Don't worry, I'm sure everyone knew which dog you meant. I sort of hope that Bogie Leigh actually gets beaten here. I really don't like what they've done by adding an extra $5000 winning prizemoney onto the race at the last minute. They've done it just so that Bogie Leigh can pass $500000 and become Australia's highest stakewinner. Talk about favouritism.

I might have a small flutter in this but I know I'll probably lose and then I'll be annoyed because I never win on racing.... BUT if it wins and I didn't bet on it I'll be mad because I'll miss out.

What a dilemma.. This is what gambling does to you though.

Double

Did the Double with Whiskey Assassin At 14.. hope it gets up

You Certainly cant discount Bogie Leigh at Albion Park on a thursday night.
She is the best dog in the race and i reckon she will win. She hasnt been going as badly as most people reckon. She ran a scorching time behind fools state when she missed the kick and got nutted on the line after she dropped back 4-5 lengths behind Fools state 2 weeks ago. Last week she did what she had to do. Shes a big race runner.....If she leads she wins. Shes the Queen of Australian Greyhound racing and she knows it.......
Fools state wont be far behind, with convincing lee and malfoy. Lukeamy should run a good race....

Dugga11 16th December 2004 11:57 AM

sportznut..... we still doin greyhound tipping?

sportznut 16th December 2004 12:23 PM

Yep. I've started up a thread for tonight's races.

moeee 16th December 2004 05:44 PM

Don't matter how much they increase the prizemoney, ain't gonna do any good for Bogey Leigh, coz it ain't what it was a year ago.
And WEETBIX ain't in that class, same as Tidal River wasn't last night.
They, them that know, reckon the cherry is ripe for the pickin'.
Don't say I never told ya.

Good luck everyone.

Malfoy won.

sportznut 16th December 2004 08:53 PM

Yeah, I went off a week early by tipping him last week. He put in a great run too, so I should have backed up on him again in the final.

moeee 17th December 2004 08:20 AM

If you saw the race it just shows why form study is a major waste of time.
4 dogs were out of it due to the drama at the first turn.
I lost,in my terms,a lot of money by studying form as you might do for following racehorses.
Forget form, and go more by what I call the "due for a win" system.
Gets you some good priced winners. In fact all you need is one winner per meeting usually.

Dugga11 17th December 2004 09:20 AM

The best 3 dogs ran 1st 2nd 3rd
Malfoy was a great run. Always a danger getting back but when they get a run like that, their always going 2 b a danger. Bogie had the perfect chance to win but probably wasnt good enough and if he'd been able to get to the rail with a slower dog rather than fools state on his inside it might have been a different story. Fools state ran a good race but tired towards the end and $8 was great value.

Mr ed 21st December 2004 01:07 AM

Thats why i'm not much of a dog man, got raped around the first bend so dont know how it would've gone, was a lot closer to the leaders then in the heats before it got checked but who knows. Sorry Guys.
