Darren Beadman
Now since Darren beadman has been riding so well I thought i'd take a look at his stats for this Sydney season beginning August 8 (Saturday Sydney only)
106 rides -27 wins outlay 106 units Return $108.3 units 2.17% profit -53 places outlay 106 units Return $89.3 units 15.76% loss Not too bad if you be a little choosy and dont back him every time cheers |

Try the following.
Week 1 = 1 unit win all Beadmans mounts, IF a profit then, Week 2= 1 unit win all Beadmans mounts etc etc OR if a loss 2 units win all Beadmans mounts etc up to 5 units on each, then revert back to 1 unit win regardless and repeat. (always backing maxi divi of course) |
have a look at his stats when his ride is $3.00 or greater, may help improve things
|
Try backing him in the first race, the last two races and any others between $11.00 and $26.00 pre-post.

Especially the last race. Did the trick for me again on Saturday with Baghdad. :) |
Hi All
Beadman's Mounts for the last 12 months, up to & including last Sat (NB these are Sat stats in Sydney only) were 254 rides for 53 winners. Average win price (NSW TAB) was $4.49. Unfortunately the bookies are aware of this such that $1 on all his mounts resulted in a POT=-6.25% In fact the average price of all his mounts is only $4.77. Here'a a question for all of you- of all jockeys who rode in Sydney during the last 12 months who had the best POT (minimum of 50 rides)?? Once you have had your opinions I will provide the answer. If anyone is interested in other particular jockeys, I can dig that out too. Brian |

BMCQUIRK, interesting stuff there, I mainly follow the racing in the west, but I'll have a stab at Cassidy??
But as far as Beadman is concerned do you happen to have the data in a formatt whereby you can show the results (POT/LOT) on a week to week basis? i.e. Week 1= +1.55c Week 2 =-3.45 week 3 = + $5.60 etc etc? any help appreciated |
Hi PartyPooper
Unfortunately you are not even close, irrespective of which Cassidy you mean. As for the data, I have it in an Excel format that I could send to your email address. I'm not sure whether I can send it as an attachment to the forum. Let me know. Brian |
Hi Brian .. now this is an interesting one ... I would say it would be between: Brown; Boss; Bowman; Munce or McLellan .. but then again .. I am probaly wrong !!!
Sooo .. looking forward to your results .. it sounds like a very interesting data base you have there .. cheers .. fred |
Hi All
The answer, to save any more straining of memories is Mitchell Bell. He had 113 rides on Sat in Syd over the last 12 months for a POT of 35.0% Second was Willie Pearson with 11 winners from the same number of rides for a POT of 32.2% Third was J Ford with 27 winners from 234 rides for a POT of 22.8% Seems rather interesting that the value is not with the top jocks, and good (?) apprentices figure well. I have them all on a spreadsheet if anyone is interested. Cheers |

BMCQUIRK, I meant Jimmy, but concede defeat. That info would be good save me a few hours of long hand, my e-mail is lumbasakabayo at Hot mail dot com, cheers!

Beljulian at Beljulian dot org. Thanks. |
I guarantee that it will be 3 different jocks in 12 months from now.
|
Yep.
|
I don't disagree with your comments one bit, however I would be quite confident in saying that whoever it is is won't be a top jockey. Punters obviously factor them in to the TAB markets . More likely is an up & coming apprentice. Who can identify the likely candidate(s)
Brian |
Yep, could be right.
