This is a simple ratings exercise, and 1. Snitzel rates a couple of lengths better than his nearest rival 14. Meriwether. If 13. Just A Star had drawn a decent barrier she might have been some hope but, as it is, Snitzel will win from Meriwether.

Thanks for a start, but i fear it was more good luck than good management that i found Emit Time. Nevertheless, I liked him because in both his wins, he seemed to do most things right. Also, i was reasonably confident that he would run out the 1200 strongly after he won easily at Toowoomba over 1100 on a heavy track. And to the untrained eye, he seemed to run OK time aswell...

I just figured at the $60 - $80 the TAB was offering, he was better value than the other runners.

Now if only he had gone straight.....

Thanks for sharing Svenvlad. In hindsight 2 starts for 2 wins, was worth a look and did win well at the Gold Coast on new year’s day. Not sure why Snitzel was so short, obviously looked a winning chance pre race but I know a number of good judges that like you, grabbed the overs (created by Snitzel’s market dominance) for other runners and in particular Bradbury’s Luck who did win well at Randwick (with the addition of blinkers) in race record time, prior to this race.
