Something new for me

As I don't have a lot of success with my usual thing on saturdays and I don't bet, for the past month or so I have been playing with something (no smart comments please) for sats only and so far so good..

Lets see how they go today.

Sydney R3 no1 R6 no2 R8 no7.

Melbourne R1 no1 R6 no3 R8 no1.

Brisbane R4 no1 R6 no6.

Adelaide R3 no4 R8 no1.

Cheers

kenchar 15th January 2005 06:03 PM

OK AGAIN

Held up again today, approx 5 points profit depending where you placed your bet.

Will keep playing around for a couple of more weeks before putting $ on.

Cheers

Shaun 15th January 2005 06:39 PM

Was that for win or place mate

partypooper 15th January 2005 07:11 PM

Well done Kenchar keep it up. But you would still have done better with PPM (Partypoopers Plum Movers) which included SR9-12 Cash Carter @ $30.70c,
Just took the opportunity to blow my own trumpet!! hee hee!

kenchar 15th January 2005 07:28 PM

Shaun,

All win bets, too short prices for place.

Partypooper,

Good onya I always like to hear success stories, but I think the run of outs you would have would give me heart failure.

Anyhow as said will keep following and if looks OK will share around.

It's all done manually using the Sportsman and doesn't take long to work out a whole day.

Cheers

kenchar 18th January 2005 09:03 PM

Lets see what happens

Just out of curiosity I thought I'd work this sat thing out for wednesday.

Sandown R1 no1__R2 no2__R6 no2__R8 no2.

Ipswich R2 no4__R7 no5 place__R8 no2.

Port Lincoln R4 no1__R5 no1__R7no5.

Just mucking around but one never knows?

Good Stuff

marcus25,

I like the idea, except I am the worst form student on this forum, I have just been mucking around with the charts in the Sportsman, very easy to use as the whole stats on the race are there in front of you.
I have come up with 8 things to look for and if a horse complies with 3 of them it is a bet.
Very simple and each race takes less than a minute.
I have been suprised how it has performed on the sats, BUT early days.
I just hope it pans out so I can contribute something to certain people on the forum.
I have been waffling on this forum for a long time but have not contributed much because what I do daily is hard to explain, I have tried but I can't post what goes through my head.
I am half ********ed in a great frame of mind as the little puppy I was tipped tonight more than doubled my wages for the day.
Lets see what happens tomorrow.
Talking about being ********ed, My Wife doesn't drink but tonight I made Her a jamaican rum, coconut juice, and pineapple juice and by the look of Her the night is going to get better.
LUV this FORUM

Cheers.

Merriguy 18th January 2005 10:37 PM

What about tomorrow morning though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kenchar 18th January 2005 10:42 PM

Probably be like an old surfing movie I saw when I was a kid (a ************ long time ago).
Slippery when wet and stickey when dry.

Night night time to go to bed the Wife is beckoning.

kenchar 19th January 2005 06:05 PM

OK AGAIN

marcus25.

According to my calcs I finished 7 points up and you finished 3 up,
but that includes Bris R7 no5 which I said place so I guess you came out ahead, but I must say I am impressed with what I,m doing.

Very quick very easy and mickey mouse could work it out.

Cheers

Hi Kenchar.

Great!
Let's do it again when you do your ratings!
Cheers.

Shaun 19th January 2005 09:45 PM

Don't tell us you are a converted win better now kenchar

kenchar 19th January 2005 10:02 PM

Shaun,

Nope!!!!!!!!!!

Just playing around but very interesting, BUT I,m sure like anything I've tried to do before will fall into a big hole, EXCEPT what I'm doing.

The interesting thing though is I did the selections last night BEFORE scratchings, IF I had done them today AFTER scratchings there was an another 3 bets that all won at between 2.5 and 3.0.

It actually is very interesting and if holds up will run as a second method, BUT as always 1 point then get ********ed.

If you want me to Email the rules just let me know on this thread.

Cheers

Could I take up your kind offer of a copy
Please forward to

Merriguy 21st January 2005 06:48 AM

I would be interested too, Kenchar. Have appreciated your help often given in the forum. Can understand, too, the difficulties you have encountered in trying to help us understand what you actually do as your main punting effort. I have tried to emulate with mixed success. Still every little bit of understanding helps :)

Hi Kenchar,

"A bit disconcerning the amount of bets it has thrown up this, has never happened before."

"Anyhow lets see how it goes."

I know early days Kenchar, but to reduce bets have you considered using more than your 3 criteria to come up with selections. I am sure you have :). Does it increase strikerate?

Can you post me the method also.

Thanks in advance.

A bit late posting results, but I've been out trying to hire a backhoe to dig ourselves out of the hole we both fell in.

Again depending where one bets I worked it out I lost 7 points and you lost 9. This is what I thought might happen after a while.
The same as virtually everything else I've tried, goes OK for a while then falls in a hole.
Even if I had got a min of 1 point ahead for the day I would have been happy as thats the way I would play it if I used it.
I will follow it for a few more weeks to see how it goes before putting $ on,
but not real confident.
I know I sound like a whinger because it had a losing day, but believe me I do not bet for fun or to lose.
That's why I will always bet using hit and run, small profit daily, big profit at the end of the month.

To all you other Guys will send you all an email sometime tonite, BUT please tread very careful as I don't want anyone losing money.
Just maybe one of you can refine it a bit.

Cheers

kenchar 22nd January 2005 07:18 PM

Emails sent except for greengrass.

I got a pretty smart carrier pidgeon, put the method in a small cylinder on his leg and whispered in his ear "Go find greengrass"

marcus25 22nd January 2005 11:19 PM

[QUOTE=kenchar]A bit late posting results, but I've been out trying to hire a backhoe to dig ourselves out of the hole we both fell in.

Kenchar, as good old Bjelke P used to say "Don't you worry about it"
Today was a disaster for me everywhere but I was almost expecting it and was prepared for it.
It happens!!
Do not change tracks because of it. I do not have a system, I do rate every race I want to bet on and in the long run I'm doing fine.
What went against us today is the number of races qualifying, you mentioned it yourself.
One cannot bet on every race and hope to come out on top.
One good thing about punting is that you can always evaluate, revise and rethink your strategy providing you do not blow the bank?.
There is always a tomorrow and a new race!!

Cheers
