South African racing TONIGHT!

Hey whoever is watching

I have been getting into South african racing lately at night with a glass of wine, they bet them on betfair and - frankly - the south african punters are not smart.

I'm there punting now, I'll post two links below, the first one to their tote, the second to a site which has their form listed. If anyone's interested we'll make this a South Af. racing thread for this evening. They are racing at Scottsville.

For the second one, click on any of the names of the places, they'll all lead you to a new box with Scottsville being one of the options on it.

If anyone else has a look, post so I know.

OK in the third I am going to back the fave, even though I love laying the faves in SAF. The fave is the #1, looks tough to beat!!!

Duritz 16th February 2005 10:13 PM

(plus it is an aussie apparently)

Duritz 16th February 2005 10:19 PM

Well it got up, onto the next!!!

(I think I am just punting with myself.....)

Duritz 16th February 2005 10:26 PM

OK the tote fave on SAF in the 4th is the 5 at 2.50, BFAIR is offering about $6 plus. The SAF tote will drift, this however, after a look at the form, seems long odds.

Duritz 16th February 2005 10:50 PM

And it got up too. Fair dinkum. This is great. I can't believe no-one is reading this thread. Winning heaps.

Just in case anyone surfaces to have a look, I'll post again shortly.......

Mark 16th February 2005 10:51 PM

I'm here Duritz & good luck to you.
Can you get any sound or (god forbid) vision of the SA races?

Duritz 16th February 2005 10:56 PM

Not that I have found, I just refresh the results bit lol, it's desperate but when we're winning who cares!!

Sportz 16th February 2005 10:59 PM

Any tips for Hong Kong???

Mark 16th February 2005 11:03 PM

G,day Sportz, another desperate up late.

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:03 PM

Aah I forgot about Hong Kong tonight - BFAIR don't bet on it, so I am waiting for when TABCORP bet on it, which will be in a matter of a week or two, so I can get the replays, watch the races. Haven't been betting on HK the last month for that reason.

The next in SAF looks crap. I can't find any horse to win. I am thinking about just backing the five outsiders. All of them look like finding a way to lose.

Duritz.

Sportz 16th February 2005 11:04 PM

IAS bet on Hong Kong.

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:06 PM

I don't bet with IAS.

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:09 PM

************ it. I am betting on 3,4,6 and 9. I don't want to bet, so am going to have ************ all on them. Let's kick them home.

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:11 PM

Oh crap I missed getting on 6 and 9 before they jumped......

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:16 PM

Oh thank God - the 9 ran second (paid 9.50 a place). One of the faves, the 2, won.

Mark 16th February 2005 11:16 PM

I've made a book on the next at Lingfield, then it's off to bed so I can get up to bet on the great markets of the good old U S of A.

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:21 PM

Good job mark. Is anyone looking at the next at Scottsville? If so, put your thoughts up. This could even stay up as an SAF racing thread, updated when people feel like betting on it. They race daily, and I tell you it's not hard to get a winner there, I've been backing them and laying them there for about two months, with very good success.

Join the dark side, young Skywalker!!

Shaun 16th February 2005 11:24 PM

see if you can get sound of the races here

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:26 PM

If that works, thanks and I will use it, however I've recently changed computers since my laptop suicided, and I haven't gotten around to speakers yet for this one.....

Thanks though, will bookmark it

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:29 PM

without having looked at all the horses yet, have something on the #3 in the next at SAF, judging on LS and where it finished, in the grade with the weight and the way they backd it, they'll back it again tonight. Currently $12, have something on if only to trade back later

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:30 PM

************ only got a little on at the price, and a little more at $10

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:33 PM

LOL it just keeps blowing on the tote.....oh well

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:42 PM

NOW it's coming in! Into $9 now and falling!!!

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:43 PM

Jesus into $7.40 now BFAIR

Duritz 16th February 2005 11:50 PM

And it got BEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unplaced, in fact, and with that, I am off to bed.

I'll renew this thread when next I bet on the majestic Zulu horses, and if anyone feels themselves pulled west across the Indian ocean for a wager before then, feel free to use this thread.

Duritz.

Duritz,

one thing worth noting is that most of the RSA racing trade on Betfair will come from UK punters - it is televised there on the subscription channel Racing UK, and when it doesn't clash with UK racing, the volume will improve. Hence any time a horse is highlighted on the telecast, or as a tote tumbler etc, there will be demand for it.

Duritz 2nd March 2005 01:06 AM

Aaaahhhh, I seeeeee......................... which helps me ************ all 'cos I ain't a Pom!!

Yeah so that'd start to explain flucs.

Interesting.

BTW money to be made in the snooty RSA.
