Resurrection of the Man Mundine.

Just heard that Anthony (the man) Mundine is comming back to League after his world Title fight in May. Probably for match payments only, due to salary cap restrictions.

If he comes back for the Dragons, maybe they could win a game.

Personally I am not a fan of Mundine, probably because of his mouth more than anything, just wondering what you guys think of Choc Mundine comming back to league.

Sportz 7th April 2005 08:48 PM

Who cares?

Jack Daniels 7th April 2005 08:54 PM

I care Sportz. I care enough to not want him at the Roosters.

Maybe he is just scared of eventually having to fight Danny Green. :D

knowledge 7th April 2005 09:22 PM

are you serious??

wow..

what an athlete! how many other sportsmen can you think of that participate in two completely different sports? zero? I thought so.

i don't really like him either he's a bigmouth f*ck and Danny Green would knock him out if they met in the ring but you can't deny his athleticism.

Floydyboy 7th April 2005 09:29 PM

At least 4 clubs have come a knockin already and it aint even tomorrow yet ...thats who cares ........

Shaun 7th April 2005 10:58 PM

He is only returning to footy for 2 reasons.....1 he is scared of Danny.....2 they ran out of stage fighters

Paddy 7th April 2005 11:23 PM

Love him or hate him, Anthony (Choc) Mundine is still a fine athlete.
As for the latest comeback talk, I recall similar claims back in 2002.
I’ll believe it when I see it!

Searay 8th April 2005 08:35 AM

Hey shaun, one things for sure, mundine is not scared of danny green, and he would punch holes in green , no doubt about that. Mundine will excel when he comes back to league with whoever???

Cheers

Searay 8th April 2005 08:37 AM

Knowledge didnt see your post, make no mistake Danny Green would not even go close to beating mundine......

thefan 8th April 2005 12:37 PM

rabbitz 8th April 2005 12:41 PM

Rumour has it, that he is very close to becoming a ROOSTER, would solve their 5/8 problem and pair him up with Wing at 1/2 , thats what i would do!, come on ricky if you were a jockey , you would be suspended for not trying to win !!

Jack Daniels 9th April 2005 07:27 AM

I hear that the Roosters have denied any interest in having Anthony Mundine at the club. God damn I hope this is true!

I admire the guy for his athleticism, a good footballer, yes. A good boxer, no!
Sorry Searay, but Mundine would not come within a bulls roar of Danny Green. Green has been trying to get a fight happening with Mundine for ages, Mundine is running scared. Plain and simple.

I would like to see him at the Knights or the Bunnies. Might put a bit of spirit back into either of these two sides.

Searay 9th April 2005 03:43 PM

Oh my god jack, that was a funny one...........still laughing now

But would be very unlikely to happen Jack given that back in 2001 when there was speculation that Anthony Mundine might return to rugby league and play for the Rabbitohs, the Rabbitohs fans and sponsors made it clear they were against the idea of adding a combustible talent like Mundine. But do agree with you Jack, that’s exactly what they probably need!
