Here Goes....

Echuca
Race 7 (C6) # 5 REGAL QUEST

Port Macquarie
Race 7 (Op HCP) # 4 FINE CHEVAL

Bathurst
Race 4 (op HCP) #3 MAGIC QUEST
(Excacta 3-2,6,9 * 3 units)

Usually I bet 1 unit Win, 3 units place, so return of $1.40 for place will result in small (5%) profit.....

And if I'm keen will take standout exacta with 3 other runners....

Good Luck fellow punters

luv2bet 30th May 2005 01:24 PM

going up class....

Leaving it to Midweek Metro & Metro Saturday..... We will return stronger

Stix 15th June 2005 01:49 PM

Midweek Tips

Here goes:

Werribee Race 7 #2 - El Man Goss (S Baster 56kg B#7)
Likes the track and distance and also the going. BAarier won't be a problem and 56kg's is about right for him, especially with injury problems he has had.

Canterbury Race 5 #1 - Jivago (K O'Hara 59.5 B#6)
Loves the trip and has the 3 kg claim from an "OKay" apprentice, barrier no problem either...

Giddy up....

Stix 15th June 2005 03:30 PM

Results....

El Man Goss......... $3.00 and $1.50

Jivago................. no cigar

Stix 13th July 2005 10:58 AM

Sandown...... How tuff is today's racing !!

Thought I'd through my thoughts together.... Good luck people !

Race 1
Not much here, maybe (1) Stealth Knight was second (although by 6 len) Din, which has since jumped well and he has Durden on board. The danger is (4) Bounty Beat with (5) Hit The Spot an improver on his first jumps effort.
Tips - 1 Stealth Knight, 4 Bounty Beat, 5 Hit The Spot1

Race 2
(1) Codify looks good in this even race, has city ability, this is his pet distance and has performed on rain affected going. Also gets 2kg claim with a good young fellow in Mott on board. I think (6) Pleasure Cruiser is an interesting runner who has run well in provincial races in past two also on rain affected ground and throw in (8) Majestic Point who put in a solid run last start and likes the 1000m
Tips (1) Codify, (6) Pleasure Cruiser, (8) Majestic Point

Race 3 (4) Mio Figlio is an interesting runner is well weighted to the top 2 horse and has everything going for him – track, distance and conditions. (7) Scotch Rocks is next best and the costly (2) Black Bubble, who does have a few things in his favour
Tips – (4) Mio Figlio, (7) Scotch Rock, (2) Black Bubble

Race 4 (1) Leonurus is a last start city winner and ran second two starts back in town, has the claim although R Maloney is a concern, but should handle track and distance. (2) Mr Splinters made good ground on slow last start and is a good chance, while (7) Sayers was impressive in a Maiden last start on slow going and not sure of what to make of (3) Blutigeroo – QLD form very good and has won on rain affected going (watching at this stage)
Tips – (1) Leonurus, (2) Mr Splinters, (7) Sayers, (3) Blutigeroo

Race 5
Hard race again…. Plenty on this card…. (2) Hunter Hermitage looks a good e/way chance although his current price is a little short for my thoughts, but does like track and distance and is a front runner and from barrier 11 will help – as long as he doesn’t spend too may pennies. (8) Ali Benbara is a chance to improve here in the wet, while (1) Gold Wells has the class figure in the finish
Tips – (2) Hunter Hermitage, (8) Ali Benbara, (1) Gold Wells

Race 6
(3) Scopari is entitled for one bad run. (1) Out of options is capable of turning it around on the wet and has been freshened since last (bad) run in May. (5) Bust Up is the next best of a bad bunch…
Tips – (3) Scopari, (1) Out of Options, (5) Bust Up

Race 7
(2) Saladare has claim, likes the track and does like the distance, will run well. (3) Bella Jinsky ran on well last start and has things in her favour. (5) Apolina looks a nice horse, although harder class than she’s use to will like the going and distance no problem. (8) Mixty Motion is a watcher as well
Tips – (2) Saladare, (3) Bella Jinsky, (5) Apolina, (8) Mixty Motion

Race 8
Not for me….. but…. Maybe (3) Tillakea on big win in soft first start. (5) Much as good credentials for wet and good stable. (15) Emilydelago is worth another chance
Tips - (3) Tillakea, (5) Much, (15) Emilydelago

Good Luck

I know you guys don't respect me as much as Sportz, Umrum, Duhhig, Real Deal, Mr Ed, Maverick, Luv2Bet, Starcraft, and contributors of that ilk.....

.......and my results thus far have probably confirmed your judgement..... However, no reply posts on other peoples thoughts on toaday's racing.....

.......so I'll just slip back in to the background....

Hey stix,
Noone seems to be breaking records in melbourne, Im hoping your going to post your thoughts for tomorrow, Ill add my thoughts as well. Maybe between a few of us we can find that elusive winner!!

Stix 15th July 2005 02:31 PM

Moonee Valley 16 July 2005

My Thoughts for MV tomorrow:

Race 1:
(1) Purple Chocolate - In form, has 2kg claim and barrier will be no problem. Powerful finish, so tight MV track only query
(4) Time Matters - Nice on pace run last start, was well beaten by the (1) but is still improving, nice price aswell
(6) It ain't Easy - This is harder but last few runs have been good, performed in the ground and distance no problem
(3) Regalo - is some chance but will be beaten by the barrier

Race 2:
(2) Change of Class AND
(1) Miss Gaultier are clearly the stand out two in this race, both have the full claim. I think (1) Miss Gaultier has been running better times is unbeaten at the distance and her over (2) Change of Class - but nothing will beat either of them (famous last words)
(3) Amazing Trace - has been close last few starts and has one only start at track

Race 3: (Steeple..... good luck)
(5) Real Tonic - Had a good jumps record and was very promising before injury, won schooling last week at value
(2) Corrupted - Has been consistent and switch to larger speed bumps in his favour
(1) Nicobury - Ultra consistent (read costly) but is very very honest, in it for a long way

Race 4:
(2) Silver Birch - unlucky last start and blocked at critical stage, finished well and seems to be getting back to best and likes track only negative is barrier but gets back anyway
(1) Aquiline - Very honest horse has wide barrier so will go hard early and pace inside him might use too much, better barrier would see him on top
(4) Club Red - A country/provincial horse who's country form has solid, the track and conditions will suit and no weight with claim over 2000m a plus
(11) Ski for Kings - Can run a very cheeky race (Somethin' the win , triple the place)

Race 5:
(2) Edgeton - has the record to suggest he'll be in it, run good time first up after a layoff, so fit and has the right barrier to sit forward
(3) Tarn Princess - Flying at the minute and has to be hard to chase down, to beat the (2) and (3) from the back would need to run 33 even for last 600 on a slow track - hard to do.
(9) Lord of Lauriston - Very promising young horse and running at pet distance and with N Ryan on board will be handy enough to catch the (2) and (3) - he looks a great chance

Race 6:
(6) Power and Faith - has been working up to a win and has everything in his favour
(2) Korcula - Another with a good effort last start and unlucky the start before that, might get back a little to far
(1) Barabba Road - Very consistent and seems to be handling the rain affected tracks, but slow track is the query against him

Race 7:
(1) Tantat Secret - running at ideal distance just too short last start and weakened over the 1600 2 starts back
(4) Itsechuca - good provincial form and wouldn't bring it to town if it wasn't going well
(3) Above Deck - has won at this track and distance and at odds could go close - track condition is a query as races mid-field

Race 8:
(2) Froth and Bubble - is well over due (costly) and runs well this distance, barrier is a concern being a front runner, but should have pace to get there early
(4) Pentiara - Last start win, beat good open field and handles the track and distance is right
(7) Plans - Has a good pilot (n Ryan) and has no weight

Best (1) Miss Gaultier (Race 2)
Best E/W (4) Itsechuca(Race 7)
Best Roughie (5) Real Tonic (Race 3)

Good luck

hey stix,,,im thinking the same about miss gaultier, she had one look at valley for a third and three goes at at the distance for three wins ,,,the only question mark for me is the one week back up as its hard to see the vic races over here(W.A)and idont know how hard she got pushed last week, any info would be great ,,,,,,,,,,,cheers..gaz..

NOT REAL CONFIDENT IN MELBOURNE TODAY.
Heres a few thoughts anyway.

Race 1.
Ill put vision and power on top, made up a bit of ground last week should thrive on the extra journey. Purpole chocolate and regalo for multiples.

Race 2
Harder to pick than a broken nose. Cant split miss gaultier, change of class, startui or electric puha. stay away from this one for me.

Race 3
Steeple. Ill just pop outside and through a dart. Im back, I hit iggy but who knows.

Race 4
Silver birch is due to run a good race, raced without luck last time and shouldnt mind the conditions.

Race 5
throw another dart.

Race 6
Like krayzelberg a lot here. Make this my bet of the day at melbourne. In what looks to be an open race there might be a bit of value there for him.

race 7 and 8 will be left alone, maybe froth and bubble in the last.

Good luck all

luv2bet 16th July 2005 11:22 AM

well nice start to the day there, five units on trifecta plus the winner, hope it continues!!!

5 - Ilbach - Another unluck last starter and will be fitter, and will need to be on this track
9 - The Cetacean - Beaten by a good horse last start. Won recent barrer trial very easily

Race 6
2 - Tasman Trader - Good second last start, barrier is a worry, but can race on pace (2 strts ago) or settle back(lst strt)
1 - Nicholas - Always bobs up when you (read "I") least expect it. Has claim, has won here in the wet
8 - Our Drawn - Doesn't win often, but is honest and always finishes on. chance

Hi All

My Thoughts for tommorow:

Race 1 #1 Danerich* - Very good young horse and broke through last start, won't be flash odds
Race 2 #6 I'm Fighting - (Hurdle) Won Barrier trial , last two disapointing, but has been freshened and will be ridden forward this time out
Race 3 #5 Palatine Hill* - Won easy two starts ago and was unluck last start, has the claim and in it for a long way
Race 4 #2 Lord of Auriston* - Very underated and should have won last start when tightend up, only query is 1200m, but looks as though should get the trip this time in
Race 5 #2 Topzoff - Star jumper, trialled well at jump school and as confident as you could be about a "speed bump" horse
Race 6 #5 Dismissal - Weakend in Winter champ'ship last start, freshened and if handles tight track will go close
Race 7 #7 Emerald Jack - Has claim, and is improving with racing, and loves distance
Race 8 #5 Lifelong Dream - Like track, racing very consistently and like track and distrance

Best
Race 1 #1 Danerich
Race 4 #2 Lord of Auriston

Race 3 #5 Palatine Hill
Race 7 #7 Emerald Jack

Sandown Lakeside 3-8-05

Hi All,

It seems the fields for the midweek metro races are still very disappointing..... hence I've stuck to Saturday meetings, but I'll see if I can help. Going by the other threads it seems everyone is avoiding Melbourne racing like the plague, with not too many happy punters having much success..... anyway my thoughts for Lakeside today are:

Race 1 (3000m Hurdle)....
(6) Tadakatsu - Thought was a good e/way chance last time when finished 3rd, looks like good e/way chance again

(8) Wood In Deed - Finished off well and headed (6) Tadakatsu last start, also a good chance
(4) Classic Benabra - Easy class for him and has been promising over the "speed humps"
(3) Al Garhood - Won his first jumps start impressively, although not a strong field, one for the multiples

Race 2 (1000m Cl6 Hcp)
(3) Stratagee Gee* - Very fast mare, has the claim of Mellham, nice barrier and has pet distance, excellent chance

(4) Dan's Princess - resuming and has good record fresh, very consistent
(6) Princess Tiffany - has the cherry and can take advantage of it, weakened last start but will be fitter
(1) Sarah Michelle - Has Nikolic and is smart on her day, the going will suit and has won first up previously

Race 3 (1200m 3YO Hcp)
(2) Super Mario - Impressive debut and extra distance will be perfect after disappointing last start

(1) Saarjun - Showed good speed and determination at debut win
(6) Maribeau - 3/4 brother to HK's Indigenous.... watch.
(3) Amerryking, (4) El Caballo and (7) Record.... for multiples

Race 4 (1400m Cl6 Hcp)
(8) Tommifrancs* - Won easily when resuming, up in class, but meets an ordinary lot here and has Shinn

(1) Scopari - has terrific strike rate, will relish the going and was inconvenienced last start
(2) Our Arch Rival - ran on last start, all be it on the best part of the track when they ran over my horse (Stratton Place) !!!

Race 5 (1200m Cl6 Hcp)
(1) Serene Prince - Very consistent fellow, loves the distance, going will suit

(2) Tummler - Missed start last time and finished on nicely, if jumps will be a real chance
(6) Saayeb - Racing well and will appreciate tempo nice e/way odds
(9) Murray's Mate - ran on well and loves the 1200m another at nice odds and due for a win

Race 6 (2100m Hcp)
(6) Kepero - just beaten last start, 5 len to 3rd horse in that race, racing well and has Ryan

(2) Smart Arch - Form has not been flash, and will make the journey, has the class for this mob
(1) Aquiline - disappointing in Adel last start, worth another chance

Race 7 (1600m Hcp)
(10) Fall of Rome* - Won nicely last start, very consistent, was 5th to (9) Huck Finn 2 starts ago, but was checked 200m out

(7) Johnny Be Good - wasn't good last start when raced erratically, if behaves is a great chance....
(9) Huckleberry Finn - Won two on end and pet distance, doesn't win by much but is fit
(4) Louie's Backyard - Likes the distance and ran on home nicely last start 2nd

Race 8 (1600m Cl6 Hcp)
(1) Costal Waters - racing consistently well and is a big chance at this distance, has Shinn and hope to jump at e/way odds

(4) Escolta - Worked hard last start and paid for it, fitter and enjoys the track and distance is right up her alley.
(9) Dream Lass - Ultra consistent and good win last start, stable is flying and has no weight with claim, jockey is only worry
(7) Pugnacious - getting to peak fitness and over this distance should be ready to go, only query is how wet track might be
(2) Balascal - Ran nicely last start behind Civil and on that is a chance in this field

(* = confidence...... others just for fun)
