Betting Shop Issue

Without mentioning names, i have an account with an establishment and have done for some time. Not had a bet for bit over a week. Tried to contact this morning on 1800 number for bet - no answer-.??? Tried sales and customer service number - no answer. Have not answered my emails. ??? Willing to accept bet on the net. (not likely now) . HMMMM not sure what to think. Any other member have any knowledge or using this establishment. (Not too hard to work out.)

Seems strange that the site has disappeared completely now. Also read this.

I can remember a post awhile back about this mob. Someone spruiking how good their prices were.....mmmhh, some people just never learn!

While reading the article though, one sentence jumped out at me, "as approved wagering operators are obligated to do through information sharing and compliance".

There you have it in a nutshell, all these bookies have an obligation to share information between themselves, according to the chief exec of Racing Victoria.

Does that mean the possibility of the following scenario occurring, 'Bookie X panel operator rings up his chum at Exchange Y and says, "Mate, did punter Bill lay $200 on Gofast in the #4 at Flemington?"....reply, "Yep!" Punter Bill's arbing days are now over, thanks to 'information sharing'.

I received a cold call from a certain high profile ex-jockey. They 'gave' me an account with $200 in it as a start. Never did use that account. Funnily enough the regular emails stopped a while back.

Yeah read about this today. Looks like a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money.

Another risk for those arbers.

They are pretty much all the same when it comes to the crunch, offers too good to last. Unfortunately, this isn't the first bookie that has decamped to drink cocktails on the beach.

They offered me a great deal. I said no as soon as I discovered that a gentleman of underbelly fame was involved.
