Freaky Friday

Are there others out there who, despite betting/punting each day have grave reservations in risking their "hard-earned" on Friday meetings(ie. horse and trot meetings- I exclude greyhound races which I rarely bet on).
I am a "percentage punter" who seeks to "skim" a little profit off the top of betting pools but I have now drawn the line in respect of Friday meetings.
One particular trot meeting has caused me to say: "no more!"
I would like to hear from other contributors if they have suffered from the "rubbish" served up to punters particularly on Fridays.
With all the talk about diminishing TAB turnover and it's effect on the racing industry perhaps those in the appropriate positions should consider whether the public has any confidence in the product served up to them, particularly on Fridays.
I look forward to opinions from concerned racing folk who, like me have placed a boycott on investing on Friday meetings.

Cheers.

I feel the same about the usual class of Sunday racing.

cant say that friday is any worse than other week day meetings.

two bets on friday for legal brief and polygram (3rd)

the argument could be put up for wet track meetings on saturdays.
and the ordinary winter adelaide meetings.

i have always said that it is probably a co-incidence that we back winners rather than skill.
i wish i could prove otherwise.

Yes Mark,

I downsize my wagering on Sunday meetings as in some cases, they are no more than "picnic" meetings with a real rodeo feel about them.
Normal patterns of racing which we are familiar with, seem to go "out the window" at these venues.
The way it is going I will be running out of venues to invest on- well, so be it.
Probably, by relinquishing these days(Friday and Sunday) our strike-rate and POT will increase anyway.

Cheers.
