TRACK LEGEND
Hi can anyone assist me where I might be able to find track legends , those little letters at the end of a horses name for race meetings, always handy to have and to know if form is not available eg: CDTW you know what I mean anyway would really apprecite the whereabouts if these elusive little letters
are downloadable for daily meetings from somewhere |
Hi ChrisG,
T won at track C won this distance at this track D won this distance at another track W won on a wet track (Heavy or Slow) Also: B was a beaten favourite at it's last start A apprentice jockey |
the number in brackets is its barrier ie (4).
if there is a asterix next to its previous 5 starts means it was beaten favourite last start. Normally has to be very short to recieve an aserix ie. 52624* |
Funny thing about this thread. First, I thought it was about some characters who hang around the track, but when I read it I was surprised because I was just starting to refine my own "Track Legends" into a key code for others to use and to develop more and logical characters. I use these three codes the most to sum up a horse's running style: S=speed, runs on pace, ST=stalker, runs in mid-pack just behind leaders, C=closers, come from far behind and usuallly wide on the turn for home. These make it easier to group horses when a bias is prevalent. When a horse is multi-dimensional: V=versatile
T=turf or turfer(better runner on turf than on dirt) !=take notice of "this" or a very positive sign ?= research "this" or a negative sign to stay away from this runner --- = I will draw a line through a runner's past races that are irrelavent and should not even be considered when handicapping >= I will use this when stating a runner or sire's percentage of wins/winners, such as "sire has > 20% Debut Winners on T(I.E. Encosta de Lago >22% 1X T!) |
Guys, I'm pretty sure Chris knows what the letters mean. What he wants is some place where you can get them even if it's hard to find form for a meeting.
Chris, if you simply want the 'track legend' for non tab country meetings, then I don't know that I can help you. I think these places should help you with form for most of those meetings though: http://www.racenet.com.au/ http://www.racingnsw.com.au/ https://www.queenslandracing.com.au/index.asp http://www.rsb.net.au/Publishing/pgViewForm.asp If you want the track legend for tab meetings, then go here: http://www.tabform.thewest.com.au/j.../TFFrameset.jsp http://www.tabonline.com.au/cgi-bin...page=/today.htm |
