Scratched vs Late Scratching
Quick question just out of curiosity. When does a scratched horse become a late scratching? In other words, if it's decided a horse isn't going to race, up until how long before the jump of a race does a horse cease to be 'scratched', and instead become a 'late scratching'?

The official scratching time is 7:30 to 8:00 in the morning (different times in different states I think) and any scratching AFTER the official scratching time is considered a late scratching. So, if the official scratching time is 8:00 and a scratching comes through at 8:01, then it's a late scratching.
