Track closed for redevelopment - some meetings, I think 38 will be run at Larkhill, which is usually used as a training track.

Thought the redevelopment was planned for 2007?

Gotta agree with ya Squirter.. I go pretty well at Belmont but can't buy a winner at Ascot...

Belmont racing 2006

Close to it. They usually start around end of April/early May, except in 2006 Belmont will be closed in winter for a major reconstruction of the entire racing surface. Racing in winter 2006 will happen mainly at Lark Hill to the south of Perth (still metropolitan area) near the seaside town/suburb of Rockingham.
Hope that doesn't put a damper on your plans but my guess is the WATC will be tempted to use the new all-weather surface at Ascot (which btw, looked magnificent today - 3rd racing day of the season) plus Lark Hill.
Lark Hill is a beautiful set up - mainly training/schooling facility like Cranbourne
at the moment but with huge potential to become the permanent 3rd metro course in the future. The Lark Hill layout is gentle but prone to sea wind effects. It is very close to the coast and prevailing SouWesters and Westerlies.
Strata -I live in Perth.
