Staking Plan
 

Can someone advise me of a good staking? I 'm betting 1 horse per race in the best 3 or 4 races per meeting, usually Melb on a Sat.

Or you could not do that, and instead stake this way:

1 - Have your entire betting bank on the first selection.
2 - If it loses, go to rule 99
3 - If it wins, put the collect on the next bet.
4 - If it loses, go to rule 99

I tried that one but somewhere around bet 58 I found the size of my bets was adversely affecting the dividends.

Heres one to try.

Bet
1,1,2,2,33445566778899ect to 25 =650
This allows for a run of approx 50 outs.
If still not in profit after a winner , repeat that bet & continue on.
Start afresh once in front, no matter how small the profit.

Give it a dry run first , based on your past results.

Best Staking plan of all......2% of bank bet on each selection at the end of the week calculate the bank and start again....you can withdraw some profit if you like before recalculating

Shaun, you are right of course though I would say 1% MAXIMUM, on the level stakes basis, at your regular $1000 + bets, BUT I would also suggest (running along side) a very aggresive 2nd bank (on the same selections) of say 1/5 of the bank NEVER decreasing, always starting from scratch again when there is insufficient funds to place the 5th bet (after a losing run of 4), this 2nd bank could be as low as say $50 ($10 bets) this makes for some "FUN" when you have a good run of winners, (as you know they always seem to come in batches) I find this adds some "excitement" into the project, but at the same time limits the possible losses of such an aggresive scheme!

PS What did you think of "Bunnings"?

Spot on Shaun, these aggressive staking plans are only good for taking profit and running, longterm they will bust.

I ran a very aggressive staking plan (on another thread) and was lucky enough to run the gauntlet and win.

I wouldn't recommend it as a longterm approach.
