There is a meeting at the Gold Coast on March 15th..

It looks ok..I have a mate who lives thereabouts,so I might sashay up the coast,spend a couple of (drunken) nights with him,and go to the races.

If any forumites can go, it might be nice to put faces to names.

Cessnock today,it's local for me,but it has the atmosphere of the losers dressing room after the grand final.

Does Cessnock always have those weird distances or is it a recent thing?

Cessnock is a dreadful racecourse.The last 150m is visibly downhill.I have seen too many sickening race falls there to ever go back.But,yes,the distances are all over the place and have been for as long as I can recall.
