Doomben Races Saturday
 

Race 1.
Looks a race in 2 for me..Devils Inside and Naval Seal...looks a real non betting race as i dont think there will be any value here..maybe a exacta or somethings the way to go....
Naval Seal has the runs on the board for me and the better jockey..races well fresh and looks the safer bet ...Devils Inside on the other hand is flying through the classes and doing everything right..had alittle in reserve last start and will need that to keep out Naval Seal..
Marikal for 3rd.

Race 2.
Wasnt to dissapointed with Jujujlio last start...just sort of ground away but did find the line...Cahill will be alittle more race wise with this horse tomorrow and will have him more forward than last start..i think this horse has the most scope for improvement than the rest who seem to hack around week in an out taking turns to win..

Race 3.
Interesting to see this lot in the flesh..especially Goldies Prospect who can run time..has the inside and races forward ..should be hard to catch..
Modee's run was fantastic last start..looks a real promising horse but the barrier is a worry...next best is Playground Express who hit the line very nicely last start after racing wide run most of the way and missing the kick....
....and i'll be having a look at Amex's half bro Hear ye ..cant knock the breeding and won nicely last start..
to hard these 2yo races ..

Race 4.
I dont like this race much...bunch of class 3 hacks running around..anything could win here....didnt even bother rating this race but if i had to bet ..Course hes Canny e/w will atleast be leading and maybe dictating..will atleast give you a run for your money and Admiralty's Girl if she races here might be an improver over the slightly longer distance..

Race 5.
Really like Any Suggestion ...should have won last start but had no where to go in the straight..should be winning this but i'm not expecting a price..
even gets a weight pull off the toppy..
be lucky to get $3

Race 5.
A horse i followed last prep Socialist has been alittle hard to follow...been waiting for him this prep as i think he'll be a better horse now..I cant find a trial for him which has got me interested..might pay to keep an eye on betting here..if he looks good tomorrow in the flesh i'll be on..Banksy knows the horse in work as well as his last 2 starts...she can ride and she'll have to from that barrier..
should get e/ws ?

Race 6 .
Very keen on High Academy here..needed the run last start and they were to speedy for him..gets the run of the race from the good barrier and the distance suits...Prosecution the next best..will try and pinch it on the home turn but i'm confident HA will run him down..

Race 7.
Serenote should have won last start..she's flying this prep..shilo should set the temp for her and she'll be flying late..i know the weight hurts but she looks a class above these..Shilo is the worry on best form but i worry about him the last 50m here....make sure you have Prang in there somewhere and Kings Clan..

Looks fairly hard Today, I heard a rumour there's rain about , hope it
stays away.

Firstly, race 2, Tough race..... you got a coupl'a smart one 's Making their
way through the grades Jujulio & Get salty fill that bill, they will be there
but....

I think although very hard to catch , Emgee Rex gets his chance here.
This is the 1st time i'll be on him this prep, the field the extra distance and
his record over the course have swayed me.

Makin love to make 3 2nd's in a row. (D Green come to town again,will be saving)

Race 5, Any suggestion must be the special of the day, as long as it finds a run in the straight.

I also think Panzer and Gullcatcher will struggle to finish in the 1st 3,
Of which will add more value to exotics.

Sure bet & Rinehart the querie runners as they have 1st up form and have obviously come to Bne to find some form.


Race 7, My Chinese King is still coming to terms with life after Castration,
and has ability. I have been waiting for some sort of sign to back him.
And that is Taylor has taken the mount.

Just expect improvement this time, Obviously High Academy and Malta will be
up there with MCK hopefully.

In summary very enthusiastic about Any suggestion and there is value for exotics.

Also looking to good/better performances from Emgee & MCK.

Might be a few race numbers wrong in the first post but what is the chance of a track upgrade to good by race 8 at Doomben.

The TAB's are saying weather fine but the weather people are saying showery and windy.

A good day today...a few winners and a couple of nice divies..

Brissie
Race 1.
Every man and his dog at the track was on Devils Inside ..i had an exacta with Naval Seal only to see NS fade into 3rd..will be better for the run but doesnt Devils Inside look the real deal..

Race 2
Same feeling around the track for big fella Game On ...a big tip around but i ignored it and Jujujlio did ok but was no match,,..thought Game on was impressive....
did get the exacta though...but still kicked my self post race..

Race 3.
Same again in this race..if you followed the money again you would have been on Playground Express..me i dont follow the money and just had a trifecta ...kicking myself post race again..

Race 4.
At bar

To easy for Any Suggestion....me i dont take them at those odds....and of course he did it in cruise mode..

Race 6
Had a full stake go at Socialist ..my first real bet in Brissie...and he was never realy in it..made up alot of ground in the straight..pay to follow especially from a good barrier..(looks like hes got me in again)

Race 7.
High Academy's run was huge..had to stop start a bit in the straight and then flew home.....wont be getting 8's next start...

Race 8.
Finally a win...and very nice win..Serenote's just in the best form..never looked like losing...great tri and 1st4 ...very very happy to finish the day like that...otherwise it would have been one of those days..

Quiet day with the track being slow..still backed Mnemsyne and missed the tri by a whisker had a tri with Star Shiraz and Mnemsyne on top with regal cheer 2nd and 3rd....would have been nice....

Missed Zipping just to short..but Lucky Diva ..to good and travelled wide. huge result at 11's...

Byway..to short ..thank god...makes missing Zipping and Any Suggestion alittle more bearable..

Nice win by Thats my mum..to easy in the end..another win for the little Palmer..
Laughing Point..well aptly named as we were laughing when the jock had him on the speed 5 6 7 wide the whole way..what a knob..you think he would of ateast tried to go forward,,backward ,sideward any which way but there..
lucky i got serenote after this race so i quickly got over it..

I took the Star Shiraz / Regal Cheer / Mnemosyne tri too, would have paid 5 grand or more Id say :( I backed Star e/w, but sooo close to a great collect!

I had prosecution e/w, good little div, great race as well, i thought he hit the button a touch too early but he held on.


Oh and mav I meant to say this yesterday but I really think dance hero has questions to answer, cant carry any weight that horse, disappointed by its recent form.

Well done Classiconi with prosecution..i knew he was the danger to HA i should have been backing them both at those odds..
on reflection there were alot of opportunities i missed today...but you'll do your head in if you keep thinking about those..

He's a bit hard to follow is Dance Hero..on the firmer surface hes still got a few wins in him..
Didnt take Railings on the slow but wasnt it a huge run...on the worst part of the track made a stack of ground..will be winning the big ones again this year ..

well done Brace Chief with Star Shiraz....i'm usually all over the brissie horses running down south especially ones that can beat Black Ink.(Guess who backed Starcraft at 50's in his first start down south :) ).
.had her on top in the tri and 1st4 ...and even had Breezy ..(probably 5th 6th and 7th to rub it in ) ..imagine that divie...been so close to a few monster 1st4's of late ..have to crack one soon...

wow just watched Smith get out 1st ball ,,,go aussies :)

Nice day there Mav, i was impressed with Lucky Diva's effort she's really come along since they started giving her a sit. Railings was enormous looks a big danger to Eremien in the BMW. I backed Breezy and thought her run was top shelf, first run Sydneyt way of going and really kicked around the home turn, she'll be very hard to beat next start i'd imagine.
