Doomben Races
 

I'll try and give it a go tomorrow..its very wet and its even raining now..so it pays to be very careful..

Race 1.
Shame here about the wet as i was very keen on Red Pill ....he did run a good race against Kantoshi Millions in the heavy over the 1400m where he sat wide and made good ground..maybe he isnt hoepless in the wet ?? none from 3 has me worried..but he is a Toowoomba horse and it never rains out there..
What do u guys think ?? theres not exactly any ducks in the race....i can see myself having atleast an e/w ..

Race 2.
Probably Wesly Manor ..you'd think the Show Of Hearts should like the wet..i'd be keeping any eye on betting with the Hawkes runner Beauty Quest,,
not a good betting race imo

Race 3.
Thought Dont tell tom a special on the dry...now with the wet it Brings Black Suit who likes the wet and is good fresh right into this....
not a good betting race as i think there will be a few scratchings..

Race 4.
I went looking for the horse who'll get the best run..came up with Zedsquare this old fella is racing well and should get the good sit..likes the wet...
Jeremes Pride and Bebekaye look good but the barrier is a worry..
a few like Loughnan and buck season could suprise...i'll be on Zedsquare he'll give you a good run for your money..should get e/w's

Race 5.
How impressive was FlicknSpin at the Coast..he just criused past them and had heaps in reserve..he also drops weight..wont be surprised to see him start Favourite tomorrow..he does have an awkward barrier though..
I though Audubon a good chance..there was alot of smart money around for him last start and he looked real good in the enclosure..he didnt have any luck that day but still fought on..he drops a few killos and has atleast a 2nd on the slow..i also like the form of Ric in the saddle of late..
Sectagonal and Aim So High the other dangers..

Race 6.
Dont mind the Hawkes / McMahon combo again..Epsom races scratched from today to have a go a this....pretty good run first up last start importantly on the heavy..Emit Time the bigggg danger even from the bad barrier..hes super strong ..i'm not a fan of Plumb though..to many mistakes for my liking...
these the top 2 easily...good exacta race as i doubt any value..

Race 7.
Malta has incredible luck just check out his barrier draws of late...he never draws anything bad...will get the good run yet again and i think the wet gives him that advantage over the Toppy..
I didnt mind a roughie here in Proud Native..is not his ideal track but the wet helps and also the jockey..Palmer will do him the world of good as he does need a strong rider to get him going . when he does he can unleash a very nice sprint..Maizy and Picablu to set a nice tempo for him...

Race 8.
Mameluke looks to have alittle to much class for these ...races well first up and doesnt mind the wet..1350 first up ??? hmmm has had a trial though and races well at the track..

a few to many selections tomorrow..but the track conditions and prices cull a few.

Just a quick note, if the track is very wet then Inthemix is brought right back into contention in race 2. Easy Rocking x Rhianna Louise (Woodman). That is really a wet track pedigree. 1200m doesn't suit though.

Good luck tomorrow. I agree, treat Doomben with some degree of caution.

I was dead keen on Wesley Manor in /r2 today [also Grandway Shogun in r3 and Jereme's pride r4 at odds].

Is it raining, bucketing? What do you reckon, slow. heavy?

My Picks for today

Race 1 # 7 Game On will be short but thibk he will bo too good again

Race 5 # 5 Flick 'N' Spin Drawn wide but has a top jock and doesn't mind the sting out of the ground

Race 8 # 5 This Too Shallpass Ran will at Doomben 2 starts back on a heavy track so if he sees out the 1350m should go close

Rcae 8 # 6 Dantibes Rhythm Should get a nice run here from the draw & I think 1350m could be right up her alley

Race 1. Yes had Red Pill e/w but the nice result was the exacta,,nice way to start the day..doesnt GAme On looks good..a monster that horse is..
Race 2. To Hard...had an exacta Wesly/Beauty they finished 2nd and 3rd...should of went with one of Sportz's any2's paid 12.50
Race 3. No Value...just watched this one...and of course Black Suit wins
Race 4. E/w on the toppy..dissapointing..
Race 5. Audobon did nothing..dissapointed again
RAce 6. No Value..thank god for that..knocked me out of the treble though..
Race 7. Proud Native e/w ran on when it was all over
Race8. Mameluke..did nothing..of course beaten by a horse i backed last start

4 stake bets only 1 result...60 % loss..should of stayed away from brissie

Another great run from prosecution maverick, that horse is running on very strongly.

ive never been so frustrated in my life, im sure motivate never races up front on the speed like it did saturday, was hoping for a place out of it at worst, but one of the worst runs its produced yet!!!
also did anyone notice ali benbara getting smashed by tantat secret in the rase tantat secret won. it came from the back was running along side tantat secret untill it shifted straight into its road causing it to bauck (however u spell it) and i recon may have cost it the race.

lucky for me imana won the last and i broke close enough to even for the day

Motivate has been out of sorts of late...maybe out of desperation they rode him forward to try something different..i'd wait for him on the good over the 1600m with Stathi aboard at E/F..

Prosecution was to good..especially when they track improved...i didnt mind Proud Natives run,,better suited at E/F aswell..

Yeah that could be true mav. He has been very close to breaking through lately though in a couple of of races over that distance. Ahh well thats racing i guess.
