I using the following formula to compare times, but there is an error. Can someone please help?

Excel doesn't understand expressions like: 1:38.06 You have to convert it yourself to 98.06 Also your ( & ) are unbalanced. Curious that this could have stumped 15 viewers. |
Curious that you didn't suggest reversing the times component to avoid finishing up with a negative answer?

thanks guys.

Try: =("1:42.45"-"1:38.06")/0.066 You may need to change the cell format. I don't know what you're trying to do. Get ~16 times ~4.4 Seconds? ---- Nor do I understand Wunflova's point. |
