what a disappointment to see only 7 horses in this race.
it would be better if they replaced it with a $30,000 welter and get a decent field. if trainers aren't goint to support these large country race events then perhaps the prizemoney could be more evenly distributed.
many lesser races have good size fields.
the newcastle cup had a good field. i didnt hear the race and racetab re-broadcast only from 5th place onwards. i think midweek racing is about to lose its audience as it is not delivering the interest that it used to .
