Female Form Students

I believe that most punters don't realise that 52% of the population is female. Accordingly, I/we encourage any of you ladies to contribute your tips and views on racing as you represent a very high proportion of betting turnover.
At most of the venues that I frequent some of the ladies express their views on racing which cannot be ignored.
Therefore shouldn't we encourage these female punters to express their views in a fair and equitable forum?
So, I encourage you ladies out there to provide your views on racing and give the rest of us an alternative aspect on the "sport of kings."
Looking forward to your contributions.
e.g. What is wrong with racing today and is there anything which could be improved?....or....maybe , provide some tips!

Cheers.

Of those 52% xanadu I would guess that a smaller minority (than males) would be punters. Having said that I have no idea the reasons

Oh....Pat!,
You just don't realise that the future for racing oncourse is attracting the "princesses" who may enjoy a social day wining and dining in the oncourse marquis.' Accordingly, where there are attractive women young bucks will follow, drink heavily, make fools of themselves and maybe "score" a phone number or even a date!
Isn't this the future of racing?
Like it or not the future of oncourse racing is attracting these "pretty young things" to party the day away in their designer frocks-and where they go...young bucks will follow!

Cheers.

Well spoken Chiquita,

No-one can deny the value of the female betting public.
Maybe it has been under-estimated in the past.
Maybe it is something the authorities should have a good, hard look at!
Ladies, we are welcoming your comments!

Cheers.

Maybe 52% of the population, but on here, unfortunately it's probably more like 2%.

Instead of "female form students", you're far more likely to find "students of the female form".

lmao

I think Doomben is on the right track having good bands perform on the day (rogue traders ect)..
brings the females which in turn brings the young bucks who know nothing about horseracing and contribute to alittle value on the bookie's boards..
alot of these guys get bitten by the bug and become owners..

Interesting!

But how do you know the sex of the posters? Any of the names on this thread, for instance, could be either sex --- my own included --- and yours Xanadu :)

xanadu 14th March 2007 02:05 PM

Not even close Merriguy!
My moniker certainly has nothing to do with the movie starring Olivia "Nuclear Bomb."
Rather, it comes from my wide reading and is the title of a 19th century poem by Samuel Coleridge:-
eg."In Xanadu did Kublai Khan a pleasure dome decree...."
Sportz, I agree with you, especially after witnessing the shenanigans around the time of the last race after a day of partying.....not that there is anything wrong with that!

Cheers.
