possible winner?

Hi All,

This is the first time posting here so just wanted to say thanks to everyone as I have been following these forums for about a year and have found them very useful.

Also, how bout this for a simple system:

I have been looking at about 6 months of data on this and it seems to be showing a profit.

I simply box up numbers 1,2,7,and 8 for a trifecta on every race everyday on the trots.

what do you think? Just an idea.

Let me know.

Sportz 5th June 2007 11:55 AM

Ahhh, don't you mean greyhounds?

I'd never thought of doing something like that on the trots, but I have thought of doing it with the dogs. I think it's just too simplistic though. And in any case, those boxes are probably overbet anyway, so no great value.

yeah, I got the idea from the dogs and applied it to the trots.

I doubt it would make a profit long term but for a bit of fun it can pick up some big winners.

6 months (on every race everyday) on the trots & showing a profit  as sportz said 'too simplistic', amazing!

does anyone have the means to look at the data for this over say a 3 year stint?

wesmip1 5th June 2007 08:48 PM

I did on my old PC ....

But I never copied over my trot data to the new pc as I wasn't make much use of it at the time.

If I get a chance I can run the download program again (it needs to be updated and modified with the latest web page formats which can be time consuming) and collect the data but at the moment I am tied up with other endeavours.....

Good Luck with it.

Thanks Wesmip,

don't go to too much trouble though mate, I just thought it would be interesting to see but like I said, I'm only using this one as a bit of fun when can't be bothered reading form.
