First Scott Seamer, now wonder if it is Damien Oliver's turn to get the sack after Bel Esprit again lost.
Bel Esprit after all does have 100% chance of winning every race it contests and the rest of the field 0%. Who knows, we might even run out of jockeys after a few more sackings? If I wanted to find an excuse to blame Oliver instead of the horse all I would have to say is "Why did he open up such a big lead so soon in the straight and let the horse have nothing left at the end?" Hmmm, they are going to run out of jockeys WILLING to take the ride over any distance greater than 1200m!
If Seamer and Oliver get sacked - what next they entice Beadman from Sydney? I doubt he would accept the ride given the pressure of expectation and reaction to a defeat...I know I wouldn't unless all concerned change their attitude. |
Put Treloar back on !!!

I have a feeling Oliver has given an excuse which was accepted - that the leader which he was trailing, folded quicker than expected and left him in front too early.
Could you imagine John Symons if he had a Stable as powerful as John Hawkes. (Only a few weeks ago Beadman rode a perfectly acceptable ride on Lohnro and Hawkes slammed the ride and said he cost it the race.) |
Has anyone checked Seamer's and Oliver's garage for new cars? Maybe they threw the race on purpose!
