You don't need a good jockey on a top horse that leads. All the jockey has to do is not fall off. That's what Childs has done on Sunline. Another 40 or 50 jockeys would have done just as well on Sunline as he has. Cyril Small on Vo Rogue proves the point. He led on Vo Rogue, did not fall off and the horse did all the work. When does Small get a ride in Brisbane now?

Dusty, I think you are a little harsh on Greg Childs. I take your point about Sunline - what a champion. But Childs is a brilliant jockey with an impressive record and I have noticed he is regularly competitive even on longshots. And his record in Northerly's saddle isn't bad either.... five from five! What a position for him to have to choose between these two great horses. Surely he must stick with Sunline.
