Staking
I am keen on setting up a test bank for a method I have been testing for a while. It shows a healthy POT, and a strike rate of 41%. What would be an ideal amount to stake per selection? I ran those stats through teh staking machine and in a sample of 4000 bets, it had a longest run of 17 out in a row. Would 2.5% be a sensible amount? Or would that be too high?

Thorns, I have a plan with a similar S/R. I found that it was not the LLR that was the problem it was that you could get 2 or even 3 of them split by an even money shot if you see what I mean? which would decimate a bank of only 40 bets (2.5%) I think a maximum of 1% is the way to go, but many use a non reducing rule which has some merit. Remember it's *patience* that makes the difference.

41% SR is obviously a place system. A 'healthy' POT would be what? Hard to recommend a sensible % of bank bet without those figures.

Crash, as you tend to back horses of "value" 41%S/R would sound like a place system. But for example my main plan (place) hovers around 72% S/R and I know of others achieving 80-85% consistantly. In every case it requires the patience and tenacity of a saint, and the ability to "get over" a few Weekend Hustlers along the way (pardon the pun)

Its all about ROI (Return on Investment) and not just strike-rate. For example I've got a win system that hits 45-48% but most of the prices are short (especially the winners) so it just doesnt actually work.

Let me clarify: it doesnt work with the basic/generic staking plans you can think of. I had to devise my own using some fancy maths. |
Yes, well that's what I meant, CRASH achieves spectacular returns, when all goes well (thats how I used to live b4) but now I WAIT patiently for the tide to swing in my favour.......... NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED
