Can somebody please assist me with the following. I am attempting to obtain the following statistical data on Australian horseracing.

The average S/P by line of favouritism for any 12 month period, from 1st favourite through to 8th favourite.

It will of course depend on field size and class, however average tote price is this...

1st Favourite $2.79
2nd Favourite $4.48
3rd Favourite $6.06
4th Favourite $7.95
5th Favourite $10.43
6th Favourite $13.60
7th Favourite $17.42
8th Favourite $22.32

What is interesting in all of this, is that when converted to percentages, we come up with a market percentage of 114.41%.

I'm reliably informed that when best tote/SP is applied this reduces to 105-110%..............interesting

Thanks for providing me with that information so quickly it is much appreciated. After I have written the betting program that I needed this information for and having tested it. I will notify you how it goes and if successful would be only too happy to supply you with a copy.



The North I am using could also be used betting on Dogs and Harness Racing do you happen to have the same information for these classes of racing.
